i thought everyone, including blonds like blond jokes. i'm sure even here, we can be civil enough to joke about our heritage. maybe THEY need to chill out for a couple o' weeks.

lol... it definitely can be construed as being a "racist joke". As you allude to the idea that Japanese are all intelligent in comparison to other blondes who are NOT Japanese... thus the joke alluding to the idea of superiority in intellect being "a given" as far as Japanese are concerned... which is a form of racism in and of itself (although only a joke)
and posted BY a Japanese, no less.
And then you use the term "Nazis" to compare the GERMAN moderators there... to the GOOD people here.
lol... Although I, personally wouldn't give a crap...I think I can see why a few of THEM would be a little pissed. _________________

It was supposed to be a forum for those who are interested in Japan, but I was the only Japanese on this supposedly "Japan" forum (another German even accused me of lying and said I wasn't even Japanese because I didn't "sound Japanese"). 98% of what members "Learned" about Japan was stereoypes and generalizations posted by non-Japanese. There were two white women who are in a relationship/marriage with Japanese males, and all they did was bitch about how Japanese men are this and that. I got so sick of it.
There were some great people I met on that forum, however, with whom I will keep in touch. There's a fella from Chicago who is teaching English in Wakayama-ken that I met during my trip to Japan back in April. He studies Tai Chi so I gave him an exhibition and a quick lesson on Chi Kung.
BTW, the day after I got booted off that forum, I was made a moderator on a different one.
They don't even need moderators there. Everyone is polite and no one ever argues over anything.

it sounds like a bad time to post considering the current situation of the conversation here...but screw it.
1. IMO the opening for olympics were great! stayed up all night and somehow it was worth it...
2. went to Manifest 2004 today. Manifest is Melbourne's anime festival and since i've never been to such events before, i thought i should just go for the sake of experience. amazingly in the end, i bought this:-

Watched part of the opening ceremonies as well but didnt finish the whole thing. Anyway, gonna watch as much olympic competitions as I can. the one's im looking forward to watching is the 100m dash, basketball, boxing and diving events. _________________

I feel your pain, man. I especially hate it when I see a dent that someone made from their crappy ass parking job. My car also got egged with berries by my friend the day after I washed AND double waxed it. Boy was I pissed.
