I think it is. People are rude up here. Always in a damned hurry. So uptight. I grew up down at the beach where the scene was very laid back. But the jobs are up here, so what can ya do....

Actually PCM, there's a big community of Asians around here. Annandale is basically Koreans...banks, stores, everything is in Korean.
I've yet to meet a Japanese person up here...I hear Bethesda has got a number though. I gotta make it over there sometime.
rude? dc peeps? 邹ȁ[IBTW, get the heck outta the way, i'm in a hurry! (JK). Not just anandale, but Metropolitan DC area have a huge K-population, moreso than JPN. Hey ikumu, bethesda mayhave a lot of J-peeps, but i think rockville has more JPNese.

Wow nice pics. I want to eat some Miso ramen too. I'm like famished this morning. Didn't get much breakfast since I woke up late and I was going to be late for Chem lab! Beaten

Hahaha, just a full time student here. And also a full time j-dramaaddict too hehe

Is 17 a lot? I took 17 my last 2 semesters also so I figured it was the norm, except that I got Chem this year which requires 9 hours of class (lab and lecture) each week!

Well I'm majoring in EE, not sure if I want to go to grad school, people say I should though. Depends how the economy is going when I graduate and if it's good then I'll probably get a job first but if it's bad and I have money still, then grad school Smile

Cool! I like Hokkaido, been there a few times. Otaru, sashimi, mmmmm. Tonkotsu ramen! Snow at Hokkaido resorts is pretty choice, can you say powder! When I went, i wasn't that good, but now better & my friend this past season said they get on your case for tree riding and going off course. Seems most slopes in Japan are still like this, the resorts are not too keen on off trail riders. Must go back to first place we went too years back, was it Niseko? Did not know how to ride then, & we went at the very end of season. But hotel right @ slope base has onsen, yeah! Nothing like chilling in the rotenburo outside & spocking a kitakitsune go running across the snow. No wait, I don't think it was Niseko that time, I forget.

My aunto has a summer house in Niseko and I have been a few times to otaru too (but in the summer, if I want snow I stay here in sweden). Have you visited the Otaru Aquarium? or tested the Soft Ice with Ramune Taste in Otaru? Smile

nice pics ikumu-kun.. i prefer Asahi beer over Sapporo beer because asahi has a less bitter taste.. which makes it a perfect beer.. sine beer needs some bitter taste.. but i especially love the sake in sapporo...

i think it just depends on how you assimilate into the neighborhood. if you are courteous, nice and all that, you will get that in return. being brown in japan is no big deal, especially in tokyo. being a loud, uncouth neighbor is.
