20kb is the size of the avatar that I've imposed. Not a very big problem on storage, if I've 100 users who use this max limit, its only 2mb of storage. Main reason would be the bandwidth caused when you post messages. Not everyone has broadband and we should keep the pictures within reasonable sizes.

For avatars.....
Although the max width = 150 & height = 100.
I've noticed that some user's avatars seem to exceed these limits and appear overall larger than others.
Howcome?

If you link you avatar to an an image host like Photobucket or Uploadit the only restriction is the width of 150 pixels... The 150x100 restriction only applies if you upload your avatar to Jdorama...

Oh and welcome to the boards! Big Grin

Applies to avatars uploaded only.

For externally linked avatars, the width will be fixed to 150 pixels regardless of original size.
