WARNING: spoiler for the basic premise of series 2:

My understanding is that Shirokin (white gold) Gakuen has been closed down, so Yankumi has to get a job at a new school. She ends up at a place called Kurogin (black silver) with a new class of rough boys to knock around and deliver inspirational speeches to. She runs into a familiar face in our favorite vice-principal from series 1, who now works at Kurogin also. A few other actors have returned (yankumi's yakuza minions and family and yay, Kuma!), but the rest of the teachers are different, the students are all new of course. I am not sure what happened to Shinohara, I don't think he is back. It looks like Yankumi might be interested in Shosuke Tanihara's character? (which makes me laugh because no matter how many dramas I see him in, I will always think of him as Doumyouji from the Hana Yori Dango live action movie... ahem. ) I think there is a teacher at the school who has the hots for yankumi also.

I shall still keep my fingers crossed for a Sawada cameo, wouldn't that be cool... surely he has had enough time to do do what he said he wanted to do after graduation... (Too bad matsujun is busy with West Side Story ;_; come on, make time for a cameo~! ) I refuse to give up on him!

I watched the first episode and I thought it was good. I liked how the Ooedo family cast members weren't changed. Anyway, other than that .. it seems like this one will also have a student who will fall in love with Yankumi.

In "Gokusen" anime series, Sawada Shin had fallen in love with her towards the end. So I think that this will happen in this one.

Other than that .. I am crossing my fingers for a Sawada Shin appearance, too! I love MatsuJun. =D

just watched the chinese sub of the first episode of gokusen2, what can i say, its refreshing to see her back again in charge of a whole new gang of rowdy students with familar characters back, i would say this is gonna be a blast of a drama for this next few weeks!!!

I'm watching episode 1 RAW and it's very nice! Gokusen 2 can actually be viewable without prior knowledge or not watching all of the first drama... but I want to ask a little question for those who understand Japanese:

Does the vice principal already know that Yankumi is from a yakuza clan? I don't understand much Jap but it looks like so. But maybe it's the usual bickerish from the vice principal considering Yankumi is quite notorious for having the 'wrong students' to handle.

Watched both episode 1 and 2 oledi but without subtitle version so don't understand at all~~~ But still very nice I think, especially for KameJin's fans like me, haha, they are important in the drama! Can't wait to watch the following episodes~~~

I love Gokusen 2, too!!!!! It's all of the fun and jokes that happened in Gokusen 1...but somehow all the more amusing because we know what to expect...but not really!
