I wasn't sure if I should have waited for this thread to be merged with the above one, but I'm sure this reply will be included. This drama is very difficult to find information on. I think I may need to find it to include it on this site. I remember taping this series way back when. But keep in mind it was on EP and on VHS. So if (and when) I find those tapes, the quality will probably be close to bad.

Kind of like another show that aired around the same time as that on KIKU that I'm looking for and don't think i'll find (Garasu no Kakeratachi/Shards of Glass).

I stumbled across of this during a search for the show online:

Feb. 3, 1996 KTSF "Dr. Hiiragi" (Hiiragi Matasaburo) started.

I don't know if that helps you any, but I hope it did. Anyhow, good luck with finding a copy of the show.

Domo Murdock!! Bow
And thanks to whoever moved my post. I didn't know there was already a similar thread...should've checked first.

Now I guess I should hop over to the "Buy, Sell or Trade board to see if anyone has a copy...to sell - since, I have nothing to trade, yet! hehe

I saw an episode of this drama a couple of years ago and I have been trying to find its name ever since... The story takes place at a highschool and one of the teachers is one of the hosts of Hey! Hey! Hey! That's probably not enough info, but I'm hoping someone might know the name of the drama. Fingers crossed

Arigatou ne ... Mr Green

Hello every one. I'm not entirely new here, been visiting this site a few years now, but I just registered Mr Green So back to topic. If I'm not mistaken the name of that drama is 'Stewardess Monogatari' or 'Chiaki' as it was titled in Malaysia.

I remember watching an NHK historical drama a few years back (I think it was NHK) about the early life of Prince Shotoku. It was set in ancient Japan, just at the beginning of historical record. I remember it had Nakatani Miki in it, as well as that chief guy from "Kochira Hon Ikegami Sho" but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Does it sound familiar to anyone?

I did some searching and found this: Shotoku Taishi. It doesn't appear to be a taiga drama.

Thanks dochira Smile.

Yeah, I figured it wasn't a taiga drama when it was only a few episodes long on KTSF hehe. Yamato and pre-Yamato Japan are some of my interests too, although some of it goes more into archaeology and anthropology than history.

Don't know if I could find Shotoku Taishi anywhere, it didn't seem too popular.

Whoa man. Sorry, that's out of my league. Also (not to let you down though), the majority of users here are quite young. Although we do have our few share of "ol' timers". hehe
I hope you get what you're looking for. --I'll try and ask my wife to see if she knows about it.

Oh, and in the meantime, you should try this thread...

The mods will merge this thread with the topic soon, so please be sure to check the above said topic for any answers. Smile

hi

i am wondering if there is any resources about an old japanese drama, shown in 1986 in singapore. i was a kid then, so i cant remember the actors or actresses name

but basically the show is set in pre WW2 (???) era, about then. its about a love story between a rich heirness to a soya bean factory, and a poor fisherman. later the fisherman finally got to marry the rich girl, but because of some reason (storm in the sea or war), he lost his memory and got separated from his wife..

the wife remarry and somehow the fisherman got together with the rich girl again...the chinese name of the show is called ling2 biao1....

Hi,

This is my first post so I hope I am doing this right. I was in LA a few years ago and was watching one of the local stations and caught the middle of a drama that was running somewhere in the middle. It was about a young girl that was working at a company that made snack foods in the testing department. She was looking for someone to fall in love with and in the episodes I watched it always turned out badly. Her boss secretly had a crush on her but would not say anything to her and I think that eventually that she would end up with him, but I never got that far in the series.

The one episode that I remember was one where she met a farmer and he wanted to take her to his farm and stay with him, but she ended up getting cold feet. He goes back alone to his farm. She then changes her mind and decides that she wants to go to him and gives everything away that she owns and goes to see him. When she gets there she is dragging her suitcase down a farm road and she sees him with another girl. She is so upset that she goes out into the flooded rice field and gets stuck in the mud and immediately falls down in it. She goes home and tells everyone her story and they all laugh at her. She becomes angry and goes out in a rampage, collecting all the things that she gave away from the people that she gave them to. If you have any idea what this drama is called I would like to know.

I have this small clip of a drama starring MatsuJun (Matsumoto Jun from Arashi) but i dont know what drama it is... the clip shows Jun talking about something... in the clip he sayssomething like the following: Shinjiru, Ningen ni wa kokoro no yami uchi katsu chikara aru koto, ore jishin no hokorin no kagi de... or sumthin similar to that... and then it shows him while he's walking to school behind these 2 girls. the clip ends with the words "what is your justice?"... the clip was called "hajime"... i tried searching the net to see if i could find out what the drama's name was but had no luck.... this sound familiar to anyone? please and thanks!!!
