well Biju ka yajoo .... enjoying it a lot indeed!
must say ... it is the best drama i have seen with single series episodes "till now" ...
Yup. The quality of the series is very consistant. A lot of single episode series suffer from inconsistent writing such as Hero and Kochira Daisan Shakaibu to name a few. It seems jdorama writers are better at writing stories that take up 12 eps than writing 10-12 good short stories.

yeah agree with u, i was all in for long stories which go thru the whole drama, is definitely more engrossing cause the end is not really known. In single series somehow u know that will be good or a bit bad ..but the series one are really the ones who attach to u.
thats why i really liked Biju .. gets u hooked ..although i must say I liked Hero also a lot, guess takuya is just too good to pass by
currently, not watching any, but would like to know if anyone has info on
Takako Uehara Dramas?
I think her latests one is Tokyo Wonder Hotel, in which she plays the female lead character??
does anyone have anymore info on Takako Uehara dramas? like Beauty 7???
thanks.

I just finished Wakamono no Subete (an old Takuya Kimura dorama) and found it awesome! I watched it raw but I was able to get the message of the dorama despite my limited japanese. In this dorama Takuya is well..nothing actually which is refreshing. He was just a guy trying to survive the cruelties that happened in his world.
- Itoshi Kimi e (1 - 5) real good! made me cry...
- Engine (1 - 6) (kimura Takuya) Lovely drama!
- Koi ni Ochitara (1 - 5) (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) its a good drama, make you feel good at the end!
- Ruri No shima. still watching, seems like a very good drama!
- Garasu no kamen II. (1 - 3) not as good as part I, watching to know the ending.
- H2. (1 - 6) do i need to say anything!
well, im downloading some other titles now, then im gonna watch for sure!

Watching gokusen 2... I find that Nakama Yukie is often repeating the same lines. Not as good as the first in my opinion. However the new cast of students sure are eye-candies

I just finished watching "Egao no Hosoku" ("Always Smiling"). And I am so bummed that it's over!
Like a lot of the small ...heart warming TBS shows, this one took its time grabbing me. But by the halfway mark, the characters, the actors, had totally endeared themselves to me. And now that it's gone, I'll admit it... I'm a little depressed.
I'll get over it -- as soon as I start a new show. But this one did my favorite Japanese TV drama magic trick.
I got it because I'm already a fan of Abe Hiroshi (Trick / Shotgun Marriage), Jinnai Takanori (Heaven Cannot Wait) and Nogiwa Yoko (absolutely every J-Drama ever made)... but 11 episodes later, it turned me into a Takeuchi Yuko fan.
I remembered Yuko's face from the only other show I'd seen her in. 1998's "Nanisama" where she played the little fat faced, big glasses wearing, bad hair cut having, smart but shy friend of one of the secondary characters... who walked around in mismatched, baggy clothes.
Hardly a blip on the radar.
But boy did she blossom in the 5 years between Nanisama and Always Smiling.
Now the glasses and the baby fat are gone. And she's become a poised, lovely, talented, leading lady.
Hmmm. Now I have to go out and find copies of Pride / Mukodona / Style / and Lunch no Joou.
I love it when I see a new show and someone who I'd never cared about before, or never even heard of before, suddenly becomes a favorite. _________________

yeah, I'm watching Gokusen 2 now also, I feel like it's the first one with little things shifted around, but all the same components are there. And I like the first one's group interaction better.

Hassle to work with, Evie?
Always has flaws and needs redoing. Takes several tries frequently to get it right. The data is testy for some reason for my program. _________________

Hello! I just finished good luck though not a recent drama but I just loved it. I loved the plane scenes, they are so exciting. I found the scenes of takuya kimura with his neighbor hillarious.
