bmwracer: It is just a feeling Big Grin

I asked the (japanese) homestay family i'm in, some days ago... they all replied, 'yes we can, easily'. So I asked them to take the quiz at http://www.alllooksame.com, but the results were just below 'random guessing'. They explained it is hard to see from a picture, and in real life they can see it very easy. The most important aspects are usually the clothes, and the way they behave... I also heard (maybe on jdorama lol) you can sometimes tell by the shoes only.

haha! By the shoes only...that is funny. Mr Green Well I kinda agree with you on the important aspects part. Well, I am a Chinese and being one, it is easier to differentiate (I guess ><).

I read somewhere that the eyes are the key in expressing emotions in Anime, which is why they are so large... Smile

that may be true but the actually anime large style eyes were a bite off of the wide-eyed disney style animation that was emulated by the likes of osamu tezuka and other japanese illustrators/animators in the mid 20th century.....and it stuck.

I am Mexican born in the U.S. but consider myself FULL Mexican hee-ha!!! Mr Green People that have parents from a different country but they themselves were born in the U.S. SOMETIMES consider themselves (fill in the blank)-American because they were born in the U.S. they I assume feel that they are also american. So does that mean that if I was born say... in China or Korea, etc. would that make me Mexican-Chinese? or Mexican-Korean? Doesn't being born some where make you a citizen of that country not necessarily make you of that ethnicity? Just curious.

Pass.

In my book, there's only one Zatoichi: Katsu Shintaro.

Majority of the chinese people i've seen don't have that dark of a skin color....pretty light compared to my tanned looking skin color.

Haven't seen that many Japanese people, the guys i've seen were very tanned and the girls were light in skin color, and both are cute looking Victory! Peace!
