Hi, new member to these forums, I was wondering if I could get some recommendations.

I havn't really watched many Jdramas but I have watched Gokusen and Densha Otoko and enjoyed both, I intensely disliked GTO ( probably because I loved the anime so much ).

Any help? ^^

hmmmm......You can try Summer Snow. This one is really good.
umm...Some good Kimura Takuya dramas are Pride (Hockey) and Hero.

If you want to watch another school type drama, then try Kinpachi Sensei 6 or 7 (on D-addicts, but you'll have to request for seeding) or KouKou Kyoushi 2003.

Anyone can recommend a good jdorama with her? I saw Long Vacation, but she was not in it much. Also saw Otousan, but I did not like the story so much so I stopped watching it. She is my favorite actress, but it doesn't seem like she's in the top dramas.

Watch Summer Snow for a serious drama where Ryoko is the main female actress...she actually won an award for best female actress in a drama for this show....if you wanna see her act as a brat, not a good girl...watch Oyaji..it's a great comedy.....

Hello all

Firstly, great site. I have obtained quite a bit of information from this site and it's a real tribue to the site operators and of course the members in making this site so great!!!

I am relatively new to Japanese dramas and have actually ordered some. However, I noticed that most of the ones in the top 50 centre on love, relationships, etc. Are there any really good dramas which do not focus on this issue? Of course, all dramas probably have this to a certain extent, but any good ones whereby love is not the central theme?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, and keep up the good work jdorama.com!!!

Cheers

hmmm........well KouKou Kyoushi 2003 is like a romance drama between student and teacher......I saw as like a sad romance drama

Maybe you can look into this drama and decide whether you want to watch it or not. Its not as sad as Sekai no Chuushin (I'm pretty sure, though I haven't watched Sekai yet) and not as sad as Summer Snow IMO, but it still a great drama

Hi everybody. It's the first time I come to this homepage and it sounds great. Thanks to the webmaster.
Actualy, I have a question. I'm now working hard for my thesis and I need to find a drama or a movie in which one there are young people (highschool, university or young office employee / 15~25 years old) who have discussion with either young people (friend & people with who they're not so familiar) and older people (familiar and none familiar people). I have to study the communication patterns. If you have any idea, please tell me.
