Hmmm..I think liking a boyband would be sort of an uncool thing (not for me though..) because of their music is not mature and all. For example if you were a US students or European students and then you were asked "do you like backstreet boys, o-town, westlife, boyzone and the like", maybe some would say "no way". Because boyband sells their look only and not their ability to sing which is I personally think it's quite unfair. They do have a good voice and talent too, look at Justin Timberlake, he has proofed the world that he's not just a cutey face and.. also Takuya Kimura, he too has showed everybody that he's talented.
So, just give the boyband a chance.

Yea, that would be sad...their old stuff is good! We have to support them so they stick around!!

ITS SO DAMN ANNOYING TO SEE A GREAT ARTISTE LIKE HIKKI SIGNNING UP WITH A LOSSER COMPANY LIKE DEFJAM! god... what a watste! | Take a deep breath, my friend. I know Defjam doesn't have a clean face during its history, but it's a known record company among hip hop listeners in the US. I think Hikki knew the purpose of signing to Defjam.
Rap and R&B do have similarities, they are black music. There is a huge potential audience in the US, the black audience is very important (more $$$, hehe). Need to attract their attention. With a support of Defjam, she is able to convience the audience. This isn't the first project she's done with Defjam before. She did a collaboration with a female rap artist, Foxy Brown, for Rush Hour 2 OST a few years ago. The song is titled as Blow My Whistle. Foxy raps and Hikki sings the refrains and others Listen to the song, it's a pretty good tune.
Do not be pessismistic about Hikki's defjam signin, just listen to the tunes when they are out and then make your final verdict
