Densha Otoko... Ito Misaki looks like a doll! As in perfect! I guess that's on purpose, ey?! Since she's supposed to be the exact opposite of our uhmm, hero, and I use that term loosely. Haven't seen the movie, but I am definitely going to buy it now. Hoping the subtitles don't suck as with most HongKong produced DVD's. Say, has anyone seen the HK DVD release of Densha Otoko? It's being sold over at http://us.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/pid-1004094594/code-c/section-videos/. I'm hoping the subs are at least decent...?

I only watched 9. Unsolved Cases (Keizoku (season 6 or 7)) , 14. Long Vacation, 17. Hero, 18. Beautiful Life and the remake of High School Teacher (Koko Kyoshi) with Aya Ueto.
Check #20. Onihei the Investigator (Onihei Hankacho, 1969--2001)
1969~2001 This has been airing for a long time. Is it something like The Young and the Restless and All My Children? It's not in the database. Onihei has been working for 36 years now. He must think about retirement, if he's not suffering from amnesia.
@ballistic88:
I think there are soft subs on d-addicts.
not sure if i saw Love Generation j-drama, that is from '97-98
most of those dramas off the list are older ones.
I just finished watching Long Vacation EP 1.
I think it is not bad because it is made in 1996 and it has a catchy theme song. However if Long Vacation was made in 2004/2005, I may not give it so much credits. One more month and Long Vacation will have 10 years old!
I usually judge a show/movie by its year of production. It is more fair.

I beg to disagree with you. I enjoy the dramas made in the 80s and 90s, Long Vacation for one.

i agree i think some of those "older dramas" are better than a fair number of the shows that have been released later or in recent years for that matter.

Okay, have to agree with you. I am at EP 4 now, Long Vacation is getting better.
The only problem is sometimes the songs play too loudly during the actors/actresses conversations.
Long Vacation is quite unique, everyone seems to be just themselves. Sometimes I see them smiling naturally in conversations.. like what might happened in our real lives.
