Yama-P is damn hilarious in this series, probably one of the best comedic performances of the year. He's also the most down-to-earth guy in the series. A lesser man would have gone crazy after seeing that pic, but because he likes Shuji so much he's willing to let it slide. Contrast him with that guy who gets pissed at Shuji after not recognizing him getting his @$$$ beat from a mile away.
to take everyone's mind off that Aoi, I've decided to post some pics of our two fave guys, Shuji & Akira desu!! from Kindai Jan (sorry for the big logos though ) they even have pics of their classmates...

I think the main guy, Shuji, just wants to be accepted, liked, and be "popular" among everyone, even in a way using mariko, but he reveals the truth thanks to his good friends akira and nobuta. and with the truth he comes to terms with it all, and losing mariko and hurting her in the process, and losing his instant popularity, really affects him greatly. i find shuji to be on the more serious side, as his character reveals in the dramas. Akira comes in, and acts quirky, wacky, and easy going, just the thing that both shuji and nobuta need. I sometimes think he is sorta the glue to their friendships. Nobuta plays the role of pureness, innoncence, and tries to instill honesty with truthfulness and goodness in each of their lives. It is as if she wants to give back and only give, cause what the two other guys have done for her already. Akira, behind his wackyiness, i think he just wants to be loved, likes, and appreciated. I see him as the attention seeker, but in a good humorous way. And he tries to be positive at the same time. With the hiding of the picture thing, i think he is just holding back to preserve the friendship and not to create more trouble. In all honesty, i think he should confront them about it, and be open and honest about it. In regards to Aoi, they all should confront her, after they have discussed it amongst the three of them first. Who knows what comes next in this exciting drama, but like i said before, i really like the characters, and the way they developed. The off the wall teachers, vice-principal and the bookstore owner, put a little more humor and oddity into this good drama. But the little messages behind it, from the bookstore owner and vice-principal, are good and important to hear as they give life lessons.
But who knows if the producer wants to give us a surprise??
Actually, the longer the better.. hehe..
Episode 8 is really a touching one..
we can see how much the triplets treasure this friendship:
Akira chose to seal up the picture,
Nobuta chose to believe Shuji,
Shuji tried to persuade the gal do let go of Nobuta..
At the end of this episode, Shuji said, even the whole world doesn't believe him, he would be contented if Akira and Nobuta still do.
This gives me a bad omen, I'm afraid that in the end, even 2 of them won't believe Shuji anymore.. (am I thinking too much?? --|||)

p/s. The ending of the novel is a very sad one
so, is it 11 or 10 eps total? I am hoping 11, since it gives us one more episode to watch, in suspense and laughter...
most j-dramas are 11 eps.

jcrina- ur gonna be soooo mad..... should we prepare something to hold you down so u dont beat the living daylights out of this @#$%^&*()?!?!?! actually no i'll join you...
OMG the ending canNOT be a sad onelike that... no no no no NO!!! i refuse to believe it... it started out so happy... i dunno man, as much as happy endings are like... expected and therefore not as "powerful"... or whatever... er.. yea im sleepy so i cant realy convey myself very well...
anyway as much as happy endings are sometiems looked down upon and sad endings are more 'powerful'..... whatever man. i hope this ends happily... or else ill be soooo sadddddd... wahh. _________________
now we have a whole gang of girls wanting to lay their hands on that %$#@$, wait till she do something again....I think she will try to do something to jeopardize their friendship again, since she didn't succeed this time.....btw the thing about Nobuta saving her grandfather is probably made up, I'm sure she saw that when following them and used that as an excuse to be Nobuta's friend.....
I don't want a sad ending either.....if something happens to Shuji (which is prob the most likely considering he's the protaganist) I'm going to be devastated....hope the scriptwriters are merciful enough....
