Still watching Ai No Uta, still loving it.
The annoying part is that I have to watch it on the computer, so it'll take me forever to finish it. (I'm just not set up to watch TV on the computer.)
The good thing about that is that this way I can stretch the series out for a while.
Miho Kanno is going to town in the part of the eternally gloomy girl trapped in a happy happy, loving loving, Japanese family sitcom.
And even Emi Wakui, who usually guarantees a depressing TV viewing experience is having a good time. She's playing a former police officer, who had to leave the force (I expect because her character was too nuts to be a cop) and is now working as a waitress in a restaurant that looks a lot like a Denny's.
Emi Wakui as the comic relief in a sit com. Who would'a thought!
As for my evening viewing, I've started an anthology series called "100 Tales of Horror."
So far, so good. The first story featured Miho Kanno, and the second Yasuko Matsuyuki.
The production is first class, the actors and actresses are top drawer, and the stories, so far, are old favorites. The sort of scary stories that have been told around camp fires for generations. _________________

watching Beach Boys. I hope to finish this by tomorrow.
Watching Ace wo Nerare....its ok. If the tennis match was played for reals....then this drama would be more amazing but thats asking for too much
Also watching Egao no Hosoku. Pretty good and funny
Still trying to find time to watch Sekai no Chuushin again. Left off at ep 5....but....not sure if I want to start getting all teary eyes or even cry yet. _________________

Yeah, Fukada in SOS wasn't too impressive but I guess I should probably watch another one with her in it to be fair.!
Were I you, I'd try Shiawase ni Naritai. She isn't any better in it than she is in any of the other Fukada roles I've seen her play, but at least there are other aspects to the drama (especially the drama behind the drama stuff) that make it relatively worth watching.

amen...she can't act, man. she's pretty but her acting skills leave a lot to be desired...and she's been in numerous dramas too.

good luck, in my opinion, is the japanese version of "the love boat." starstudded cast.
