congrats to zizou who scored a hat trick too! Applaud
i hate to say this but real madrid is dying!

anyway, let's predict who will win the world cup! i guess brazil and england are the two hot teams this year.

look at england's starting line up and substitutes. it's amazingly delicious. rooney owen lampard gerrard joecole beckham.
and look at brazil's firepower upfront. adriano ronaldo ronaldinho robinho.. omg.... i hope england gets to play with brazil during world cup this year, preferably the finals!!

and i cna't believe japan is grouped with brazil!! that's so unluCky... i hope japan gets through though! *prays*

England's is far from hot. Just like Real Madrid: great players don't necessarily mean they will make a great team. The dutch had the same problems through the years: topplayers but they couldn't play well together.

Brazil wil probably make it to the finals, along with an outsider (again).

yup you've got a point there. but it's always exciting to watch teams with many familiar players.

hmm but the other national teams didn't seem consistent in the qualifiers. (i'm not sure about the african countries though) but brazil is the exceptional one, and maybe argentina.

I never said they were nothing? Sweat but coming out on top of their group doesn't say much if you look at their oponents. They shouldn't have any problems coming through the first round this year I guess. (Along with Czechs) they failed miserably in Portugal last time though.

BUT they managed to beat Holland too in their last friendly match hehe I'm thankful for that, cos it shows Holland is far from ready to win.

Even though this Jdorama forums and when you're Japanese I can understand you want them to win. But any footballfan would just say, hey japanese football is just *ahem* not that great Sweat Of course anyone is free to support any team. But for a proper reason at least? Beaten

I'm sorta refering to that japanophile topic, that some J-fanatics (who are non Japanese themselves) just worship anything that has to do with Japan. I sorta understand where he was coming from why he was annoyed about these people. Angel-Devil

I'm going to be cheering for the english speaking countries while i'm over there, but i think Argentina might walk away with it this year. They had England thoroughly dominated until owen knocked in that double late. Then again with the way Ronaldinho is playing, it's hard not to go with Brazil.

my picks:
1. Argentina
2. Brazil
3. Czech Republic
4. England
5. Italy (italy should go far, but they always find a way to choke hehe)

In other new the gunners are out of the Carling and FA cups, so that means i'll be depressed until we DESTROY Real next month...
