sway's eliminated. nakakapanghinayang talaga. those f**king judges thought Ace's performance was great???!! GRRRR!! I like Ace (gwapo siya e, but i'm also convinced he's gay) but his performance was nowhere near great! Sway's performance was not so good, wrong song. nakakpanghinayang kasi pwede pa sana siyang bumawi sa next performance, he's so talented, so good that i believe he could've redeemed himself if only he had another chance. darn. it's too late now.

what I meant was there is a Pinoy in the latest American Idol..or should I say there was...he got eliminated last night.

BUT there will be a Philippine Idol and Paula Abdul might come to judge. There are simultaneous SEAsia Idols e.g., Singapore and Indonesia (I think), auditions will start on May and the show will be launched on July.

I was sad but knew that the filipino guy was gonna get kicked off of AI. Was bound to happen sooner or later. That guy is very talented though. Oh well.

yeah, it used to be the J-dramas on Philippine TV thread but the people got excited and talked about everything Pinoy so..now we have this thread where we can talk about anything and everything Filipino.

the oldest show that I remember with an American Idol-like format is Tanghalan ng Kampeon. Pinoys love singing and I think generally maganda boses natin as a race ( ) so we've never had a shortage of singing/star-making contests. now we have pinoy pop superstar and search for a star in a million, both with kiddy versions.

Uhm......I have that drama, pero yung copy ko nasa classmate ko pa. Hopefully maibalik na niya agad ito kasi it's a data disc, and I still have to convert it's files into dvd format . Anyway, I don't sell translated stuff that I have downloaded (mangas, subbed animes, movies and dramas). But I do trade them. If you're interested, just pm me kung anong anime, movie or drama ang pwede mong itrade para dito .

(i'm always recommending these two first.. haha. habit.) hmmn.. stand up was funny. i have vcds, though the quality is not so good.medyo old na kasi. try ordering online, as saito said. that is if you can't dl. meron dati sa divi mall, third floor, though limited lang ang titles available. not sure if they're still there though. it's been a long time since i last went.

darcke, ayuz ang nobuta wo produce personally, second reason na lang yung fact na crush ko si yamaP i like it primarily because it does not only focus on friendship and various philosophies of life, it also acts as a social commentary on people and commercialism. hindi ko nga masabing teen drama siya kasi very mature and thought provoking ang theme, nagkataon lang na sa isang high school ang setting at mga "teen-agers" ang main characters. gusto ko ito! as in! as in!

nga pala, interested lang ako on how you guys got into jdorama. ako kasi, hindi talaga ako mahilig sa soaps. nagkataon lang na when i studied in japan, i watched all the jdoramas on tv just to help me with my nihongo. i discovered na sobrang iba ang jdoramas kaysa sa pinoy telenovelas in the sense na hindi takot ang jdoramas mag-explore at mag-experiment regarding theme and plot, and even sa production. i just got hooked! when i got back home, i had to resort to "pahirams" from other balikbayan students. i find it weird to have discovered jdorama.com and dvd sources this late.

^ how did we get interested sa jdrama? ako parang accident lang, i found out ng bandang winter of 2000, bored ako n i was channel surfing, tapos yung international channel namin may mga subs sila every sat. & sun, tapos natagpuan ko yung Beautiful Life tapos i got hooked ever since. meron rin mga kdrama during weekdays, pero minsan walang subs sila.. natagpuan ko rin yung firebird, in a few years later.. tapos i got hooked rin sa kdrama, pero nalaman ko na medjo dragging sila.. at palagi nalang na either merong namamatay o magkakasakit, i got tired of it, so bumalik ako sa jdrama. parang nakakaiba rin kasi compared to pinoy diba? ewan ko ba, bihira kasi ako umiiyak sa mga ibang telenovelas. basta iba talaga yung mga hapon.
