Actually, I think that the thread is moving this fast because suddenly, people became very obsessed with hitting a certain target of posts by a certain time. "Congratulations to hitting my 200th post"And also, the time thing. "Is anybody still awake here?", "Its 3am here and I should be sleeping but I am not". If these could be eliminated, this thread can slow down to about half the rate.

Seriously, no offence but please don't let Arashi slow you in what you are doing. Just come back in a couple of hours (after work, waking up in the morning) and you will just see new posts. Don't post if its a seriously "empty" post with no particular message that you are trying to tell others.

Eastwood To Film Both Sides Of Iwo Jima Story

Oscar-winning actor/director Clint Eastwood has become so engrossed in his telling of the Battle of Iwo Jima that he has decided not to make one film about it, but to make two! Eastwood has just finished filming Flag Of Our Fathers which tells the stories of the six US Marines immortalized when they were photographed erecting an American Flag on Mount Suribachi. He now feels that the story needs also to be told from the Japanese point of view, and so will next month begin shooting Red Sun, Black Sand.

The 40-day conflict at the tail end of WWII, remains the bloodiest engagement in Marine Corps history, where the most congressional medals of honor (27) were awarded. But on the Japanese side as few as 200 of the 22,000 troops survived the fighting. The two films together strive to show that the Battle of Iwo Jima was as much a clash of arms as a clash of cultures.

Heading up the cast in Eastwood's film - which he hopes to film in part on location on the small pacific island of Iwo Jima - are Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai), Kazunari Ninomiya (Stand Up), Tsuyoshi Ihara (Hotaru no Haka), Ryo Kase (Nobody Knows) and Shido Nakamura from Fearless and Neighbor 13. Interestingly, Red Sun, Black Sand will be re-titled Letters From Iwo Jima for its Japanese release, and Eastwood hopes to release both films simultaneously in the fall of 2006.

Last night I was around some Arashi LJ and found someone who had split Nino's new SP, Sukoshi ha, ongaeshi ga dekitakana - �����́A���Ԃ����ł�������. green_forest, the LJ user, has the post unlocked so all are welcome to get it!
