i'll continue watching it though because i thought it was funny...and nostalgic given the location of fliming
Me too even though I never heard of Para-Para though. The comedy elements are a little out there and there are still lots of room to grow. I'm still waiting for some more reviews for Top Caster to see whether it warrants a download. Haven't watched eps 2 of Teru, Teru... something yet but I'll guest I'll continue with this series.
So currently these are the series I'm aware of for this season. Some I watched on fast-forward and might have missed a lot. Some I haven't downloaded based on the synopsis (DramaWiki isn't too helpful here for me). If you guys watched any of the ones I don't have a comment on can you give me some feedback so that I'll know to continue or download?
* These are the ones I like or have a feeling that I will like.
Gal Circle, Teru Teru, Kurosagi
* Impartial on these ones
Busu
* Hoping for more user feedbacks like whether story deep, causes viewers to laugh out loud <-- I like comedy a lot.
Tokumei! Kenji don Kame, Top Caster, Attention Please, Machiben & Bengoshi no Kuzu (don't like lawyer dramas unless they're funny)

it's nice to see different kinds of dramas that are entertaining, and sometimes a bit odd.
and also nice that it is subtitled by fansubbers
Gal Circle and Teru Teru Ashita, i do hope they continue subbing the entire series.
that lawyer one, Bengoshi no Kuzu, that one seem so funny, even if it is not sub'd.
Saw the poster to Bengoshi and figured that it will be a comedy. It just that i'm kind of worried that comedy might take a backseat to seriousness/romance.

i'm surprised then, you even watched Gal Circle...
Oh heck, I'll give most anything that doesn't sound overly weepy a shot.
The comments I saw about the show called it a comedy, mentioned lots of pretty girls, parapara dancing, shibuya, and a guy in a cowboy hat.
I like comedies, I love pretty girls, I had no idea what para para dancing was, and I didn't know why Shibuya or a guy in a cowboy hat would be considered interesting. Had to look.
But... I didn't think it was funny... the girls were too young to be anything other than annoying and irritating, para para dancing turned out to be a dud to watch (was it really a fad?) and the guy in the cowboy hat was just a paint by numbers fish out of water character without any personality.
In a word... lame.
But I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't watched. _________________

well...atleast you have to give it credit for being different/creative.
anyhow, Para Para is a dance, that is still popular in Japan and in other areas.
I'm watching now Dragonzakura and To Heart. Unfortunatelly, I can watch Dragonzakura only once a week, because I watch it on Youtube, and I don't have an Internet. So I have to go to my parents to watch it.
But I got To Heart too from a friend so I'm not so sad. To Heart is so good. It was a good choice. _________________

Just finished "Nana". I haven't read the manga so I had no idea what's really going on. I supposed the story itself is only a small part of the manga, and has no real closure.
Nonetheless the movie itself is quite enjoyable. Even though I'm no connoisseur of rock music I found the soundtrack quite gripping. Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours.
Just finished Kamisan Nanka Kowakunai (Mid-life Crisis), a 1998 comedy starring Masakazu Tamura. He and his two buddies (Isao Hashizume and Takuzo Kadono, two always dependable veteran character actors), all three of whom are middle-aged and married, find themselves living together without their wives. Trying to take advantage of their newfound bachelor existence, they become like giddy randy teenagers trying to score with the opposite sex. Each episode features a highly recognizable female guest star who plays the object of their lust. Some of the actresses include Rie Miyazawa, Atsuko Asano, Emi Wakui, Kyoko Koizumi, Kyoka Suzuki, and Hitomi Kuroki. Tamura, Hashizume, and Kadono, all of whom were in their mid-fifties when they made this series, perform with more conviction, more personality, and more gusto than any of the current popular idols you see in dorama today. A funny, lighthearted series, part farce, part slapstick, and part satire.
Top Caster 2nd ep is out, but too bad no subs....hard to watch the whole thing unsub'd......so very thankful for the fansubbers, they make it all possible to understand...

Re: Kamisan Nanka Kowakunai (Mid-life Crisis)
I couldn't agree with you more.
Initially I started watching the series because so many of my favorite actresses were listed in the cast... but as the show went on, the three old boys simply stole the show for me.
It was a trip seeing those "old boys" become the high school pals they'd once been (in the script) and go back to their old relationships.
Nothing was forced, nothing was overly obvious. But those three 50 something year olds simply became kids again.
