i d/l'ed the first ep of Tiger and Dragon.....got the first ep eng soft subs, but the timing seems a bit off, was it for you??
but i am eagar to start this one....some of the same guys from Kisarazu...lol

I'm starting to watching Koi ga Shitai now. I wonder if I'll like it or not.

just finished 3 more eps of Iryu to ep 6 now. this definitely succeeds in providing the viewer with some high medical drama - somewhat unpredictable too can't wait to finish off this series. despite the commonness of medical dramas, this one stands a bit above the norm

you have to download the 2005 TV special FIRST...the dorama followed the special...and no i never had any timing problems with the subs

i dunno why when i was playing the first ep, w/subs, the timing was off...

i dunno i thought the humor was a bit more involved AND a bit more evolved..less slapstick..it's very japanese in nature as it centers around the japanese art of rakugo..tiger & dragon uses less gags than kisarazu. slightly larger cast as well.

yeah, i noticed that....but hopefully this timing thing w/subs works out, if not i'll still try to watch it..

why don't you try a different video player to watch it. sometimes that does the trick

Kisarazu is set out to be purposely humorous aka characters i.e. character with name Master and his son name Mister, Okada with the weird hairdos whose parents are spies ?

As for Tiger & Dragon, the characters are more or less normal but happened to get into humorous situations.

In my opinion, T & D is aimed towards a more mature audience. Personally I like T & D because Abe Sadayo (Donta) got more screen time this time around and love the mini-stories within story format. Overall both are fine dramas to watch love them both dearly.

As for video player may I suggest VLC.

i love the part when Donta was rippin' on Ryuji and his dream and he said

i don't care if your place is called Dragon Soda or Gorgonzola...

i was fuggin' dyin' of laughter.....

Couple of scenes that caught my attention are:

1. When Dragon Soba female assistance found out why the yakuza boss's son didn't email her towards the end of Episode 1.

2. "I'm Hayashiya-tei Donta a.k.a. Yanaka Ryuhei!"
"I'm Ryuji!"
"Together we're "W" (double-Ryu)!" in Episode 6.

That line always got me crackin'

hilarious! there are too many gems in that dorama.

EDIT i like when toraji told ryuji not to make any lame costumes and he referred to his shop as Dassai Dragon....

just finished Iryu - i'd say i'm usually tougher on rating medical doramas than others but in this case, i'd give this a deserving 9/10. the plot moves quite fluidly with a fair number of surprises popping up. casting was quite good and the music fits nicely with this dorama. for sure, my fav part of this dorama is the tension generated in each ep and with each event. i'd definitely recommend watching this dorama - so far, i'd rank it among the best of this year
