That's for sure. I've heard/read that brownouts are more dangerous for equipment, 'cause the reduced voltage makes the equipment run beyond its normal specifications and can cause critical failures...

Not that I know of, unless you're talkin' about those little bottles with the liquid in 'em. 
I suppose you could call a lighting strike a "whiteout," but it would be more of a "blowout"...

I used to be involved with the portal during the beginning stages but had some friends who worked there and they had the opportunity to interview Jet Li, Maggie Cheung and so many more. The backers of the site is Suzanne Kai (one of the first Asian broadcasters on television), Ben Fong Torres (yes, the legendary entertainment guru of Rolling Stone Magazine) and Martin Yan (Yan Can Cook). Sometimes you get to go to those special mega-entertainment events...So, if you can write and if you live near Orange County, in California, you may be able to get that chance!

A " whiteout" is when it heavily snows, only it's like a sheet or a wall of falling snow. You can't see more than a foot around you when there's a whiteout.
In Canada we get whiteout warnings during winter all the time. I drove from Orangeville to Brampton in a whiteout and it took me five hours! It's only supposed to be a half hour drive.  _________________ |

I knew who he is.  And yes, I have blacked out before...I think it was caused by heat exhaustion.
