give it time.....job, savings...etc

well....1 week, that included accomodations, airfare, food, etc....
i am sure there are other ways, and getting better deals, better planning. But Japan can be expensive....
it could be less if you stayed in Hostels, homestays, etc....

Today's Seijin no hi where the young ins celebrate their coming of age (i.e. turning 20 years old)

Young women in kimonos attend a ceremony celebrating their Coming of Age Day at Toshimaen amusement park in Tokyo January 8, 2007. The smallest group of Japanese youths in nearly two decades to mark the transition into adulthood celebrated the occasion, traditionally honoring those youths who turned 20 during the preceding year, amid growing concerns about Japan's low birth rate and rising elderly population. About 1.39 million Japanese reached adulthood in 2006

They're just trying to keep warm. It is January, the funny thing is, when I've told people it snows in Japan and they don't believe me! For some reason, a lot of people think of Japan as "tropical". (Send 'em to Hokkaido in December Grumble )

SERIOUSLY?! But Japan is located at a distance from the equator much like Ontario.

Hmmm... but I guess some people slept through geography. Me, I slept through Chemistry. Mr Green
