There's a few Johnny's that can't do back flips. Jun and Sho from Arashi, Tsubasa, some of the guys in K8, etc. I remember when Shuji and Akira were on Utaban, Nakai was making fun of Yamapi's back flip saying that it wasn't a Johnny's backflip Nakai's one to talk since he can't even do one.
Actually at first I also thought all Johnny's can do backflip... Then when I watched Honjani, I'm suprised that Uchi, Yoko and Maru(K8) cannot do backflip.... Tsuyoshi also thought the same thing as mine... In Mezamashi, Tsuyoshi said he was also shock to learn that other members cannot do backflips except Kimura, then he said, "Why did you joined Johnny's then?" haha... Yamapi well, to learn to do backflip is aslo one of the reason he joined Johnny's. Kame, he used to do many dangerous stunts in Dreamboys.... Nakai sure know to make fun of people.
I'm so glad I'm still alive after this weekend. School life is horrible now. You guys really fast in this week.
Just catching up on forums and replying to random past posts.
As for Kudo Shizuka, I was a big big fan of hers in the late 80s and early 90s. She was one of my favorite singers. I still liked her through the 90s and honestly when I heard about her and Takuya my reaction was at first I really wasn't sure about their relationship but I still liked both of them and just wished them the best of luck. It seriously was shocking, but even now I still support both of them. Kudo Shizuka is a very talented and beautiful person herself. Her and takuya must have some pretty pretty kids.
As for natto, it is a very acquired taste lol. I grew up eating it since I was little. It's really good if you add an egg and green onions too <33 But yes, I don't even notice the smell but I can definitely see why people would not like it and why people would not even want to try it. It's really great though.
I have seen the faces of Kimura's kids before, because i surf the Chinese websites sometimes. The Chinese websites really do have a lot more information/pictures than the English websites... because Kimura and Kudo has a lot of Taiwanese/Hong Kong fans.
Kokomi looks A LOT LIKE KIMURA. Mitsuki looks like her sister, but somehow not like Kimura.
Kokomi is still very young, but she's already very pretty and kawaii.
It's weird that the pictures on the Chinese websites don't have the censor on the face? Well I'm only talking about a minority though.

Ne Yanie,,, dont you think that Takuya-kun's weird??? From earlier times until now,, I NEVER called him Takuya,,, U guys also know that, ne?? Coz I'm really not used to that,, I alwayz tried my best to called him Takuya,,, but cannot,,,
Like Mori, too,, he and Nakai-kun's name has the same length,,, calling the names thatz too long really difficult ne~~~ For me...

Yeah, I guess u're right, its just as simple as that. Like Mori too...his first name is Katsuyuki, desho?? But they all called him with Mori, his surname.
What puzzles me is Kimura....Kimura and Takuya are just the same length. I wonder why didn't the members call him Takuya/Takuya-kun??

Kimura spoils the dance routine, really?? But actually I'm pretty ashamed of how SMAP is sooo NOT synchronize in dancing....hontou ni 'bara-bara' desu.
I realized this the first time I watched Arashi performing....their dancing are SO IN-SYNC and unison!! O_O No wonder their juniors says Arashi is way too disciplined (though I'm not sure why they should complain this good thing....haha, I think I can guess which juniors complain on Arashi being way too disciplined )
SMAP is not in-sync at all in dancing, ne... They should fix this weakness...
If I'm not wrong, sometimes the routine is made that way isn't it? Like in Bang Bang Vacances, each of them is given an individual movement.
I am weird this way, but I like it when they add their own touches to the dances instead of everyone dancing the same moves. Like how Shingo and Tsuyoshi likes to spin around in the middle of the song, Kimura and Nakai has all sorts of refreshing tricks up his sleeve and errrrrrrrr Goro just stands there and acts pretty. I like it though, it gives a dance more character.
What I find very surprising is even after 15 years of hardcore dancing, Goro still can't do it well. You would think that practice makes perfect....

This thread is moving fast again...I don't think I'll have time to catch up
Haha, Goro-chan does sing through his nose. I have the same problem when I sing and have no idea how to fix it aside from getting surgery.
For me Shingo has improved the most, although Goro has improved a lot also. Man, watching some of the early SxS can be torture to the ears. You're right though, Shingo and Goro still fall off key very easily. Even Takuya will go off key often enough. Goro-chan's singing used to be my favorite because it sounds so cute but Shingo's is my favorite now. When he's singing very well, his voice is very rich and has lots of volume. Takuya's voice is a little too buzzy for me. Tsuyoshi is only slightly better than Nakai when singing. He just happens to have a nicer, gentler singing voice so people don't give him as hard a time for being a bad singer as they give Nakai. I honestly don't think I've ever heard Nakai or Tsuyoshi stay in tune for an entire song.
Now it's my turn to analyse their singing
Nakai: It's bad. Sorry but I have a thing about bad singing/screechy voices. He may be improving, but it's still nowhere near the standard of an AVERAGE singer.
Kimura: As LivNagisa has mentioned, it does have a buzzy thing. He can't do high pitch.
Goro: Love it!!! But has anyone realised he always has the SAME expression when he sings... his eyes especially. I still love Goro a lot.
Tsuyoshi: He has mentioned before that he is tone-deaf...... and I don't doubt it. But he's the only one in the group that reaches high pitch best.
Shingo: Love it!!!! His volume and voice control is good. He has a lot more solo parts now compared to the older songs, which shows that everyone has recognised that his voice has improved.

same here.. i find that its much nicer when everyone adds their own moves to the dance....
too synchronize appears very very dead to me.. very boring..
i find it more interesting when there are dance steps in different performances of the same song _________________

Really?? But some ppl said, he didn't deserve that award. Tamaki Hiroshi of Nodame Cantabile or Yoshioka Hidetaka of Dr. Koto deserved more
Maybe because there aren't many conflicts in Boku Aruku, unlike Nodame and Dr. Koto. To be honest I cried really really hard when i watched Dr. Koto (2003) coz the story is unbelievably touching (you noticed how awful i was at that time ne Yanie? ) and Nodame is so hillarious. Somehow, when i watch Boku Aruku i feel so "peaceful" in every episode, maybe because of Teru's voice and all the family touching scenes. There are many touching moments though but they didn't make me cry as hard as Dr. Koto. If you like family drama you will love Boku Aruku.
Personally, i wouldn't mind at all if Tamaki Hiroshi or Yoshioka Hidetaka got the award coz they played the character ver well too, they deserve the title as well, but i think playing Teru is more challenging and give more points to the viewers.

I haven't watch BokuAruku yet... Qnuuy...when can I borrow it from you...??*_*
I have it with me now actually Yan. But I'm sending it to Weni on Monday. if you want i can bring it to you tomorrow, but you have to finish it by Monday. I promised Weni to send it to her on Monday. Dou? _________________

it always worries me to death everytime they have to sing with an international artist in the ending song. Not just worry so much on Tsuyoshi and Nakai's voice, but all of them. To me, just a slight out of tune is really embarassing. So i tend to watch the ending song twice. Because i can't focus and enjoy the song as i am too busy analysing their voice, and hope they don't make mistakes when singing. And if they sing it well so i will replay the ending song, then i can really enjoy the song
Yappari, Nakai's voice is still the worst ne, and Tsuyoshi is slightly better than him, i agree on this. Maybe i sound weird but I looooovvveeee Nakai's singing voice, be it good or bad i really love it. I love it more than Tsuyoshi's, and i'm sure i'm not the only one _________________

hmm.. now's my turn...
Nakai singing is very horrifying...
its really really really bad.... his singing has never ever improved before..
its still as bad as ever.. in fact.. i tend to shut my ears everytime i hear his singing(esp live)
he doesnt do anything about it.. or maybe he cant do anything abt it..?
Shingo's voice has volume.. i agree...
he's one of the singers who are less prone to off-pitch
he tends to go flat when singing high pitch.
Goro's voice sounds nice to me...
his off-keys are not obvious and do not have serious problems... generally.. i enjoy his singing...
he has a narrow range for singing notes...
Tsuyoshi's singing is overly-girlish n gentle...
cant stand it sometimes....
Takuya is one seldom off-key... even if he does.. he will manage to make it sound normal....
i disagree that takuya cant sing high pitch.. cos i thought he's the only one in smap who can do so.
he can reach high pitch notes and is good at dragging his vocals, changing the notes for a certain word in the song ( i dont know how to describe.. but i hope u guys know wad i mean)
he tends to sing through his nose very frequent.. i dont really like this part... _________________

drawing and painting is different deshou? i've seen some of his drwaing but not his painting. Does he paint? on a canvas i mean.

i guess not. We're coming to your place tomorrow right? can i see it?

I would describe Shingo's illustrations as odd-looking, and not easy to understand. Some of them looked really like a 5 yrs old-drawing, but if you look at it closer, you'll realize it cant be done by a 5 years old. The drawings are really childish. But, as childish as the drawings arec it attracted me, and made me laugh...some are ridiculous and funny. His illustrations are either childish, or rough & messy, or weird-looking, or funny & silly, but some also looks lovely. And I like all the illustrations and the creativity comes from it ^^

YES I DO THAT TOO!!!!!
Haha if even SMAP fans feel this way, I wonder if SMAP feels this way too. Maybe they have no time to upgrade their skills? Like going for singing lessons..

When Kimura goes high-pitch, it gets very soft and nasal. Actually I think none of them can do high pitch.
But whenever Kimura sings Yozora No Mukou live, I just
I remember reading from an English site that in Japan, SMAP is a big joke- how they are the biggest band in Japan but they can't sing. Can you guys think of any other famous bands that can't sing? I guess, as usual, SMAP tops yet another list
