for me the best jdoramas would be:
HANA YORI DANGO
HANA YORI DANGO 2
GOKUSEN 1
GOKUSEN 2

im from The philippines so i just watched jdoramas in a local network here and as far as the network have shown, the four arE the best for me..

but im also interested with PROPOSAL DAISAKUSEN since it has anice story.

anyway, ill always support jdoramas cause its all great..

my fave japanese actor is MATSUMOTO JUN since i like his acting in HYD 1 and 2 and in gokusen 1

This is all very interesting (...), but the purpose of this thread is to tell us what you're watching RIGHT NOW...

You should read a few pages of a thread to orient yourself before posting. Smile

Just finished Jikou Keisastu I think Geezer probably liked it more than I did, but it's still pretty good. First the complaints: Some of the cases were pretty simple, 15 years without being solved? Unless police in Japan are total morons, some of those should have solved in 15 minutes! I also wish they had used Kosuke Toyhara's character more. He was good in Densha Otoko as the antagonist and I think they could have mined a lot of material having him more of a rival to Odagiri Joe.
What I liked: Odagiri Joe is a natural comedic actor!!! Leave the serious dramas for Kimura, Sorimachi, etc. Joe should stick to comedy. I can't think of a real funny line he said, but he did it all with nuance, body language, the way he would look at someone as he delivered a line, his timing, etc. And you cannot teach that, it's something your either born with or you ain't. Can't wait to see him in more comedies. Applaud

Right then. I watched the first 3 episodes of Yakusha Damashii
-- enjoyed myself no end --- and ran out of sub titles. Ah well.

I guess I'll start on Haikei Chichiue tonight.

It was written by the same guy who wrote Yasashii Jikan. And since I thought that was absolutely brilliant, I have fairly high hopes for this one.

Fingers crossed...

I finished Brother Beat last night. I think I'm gonna give it a vote... it was that grand! And I think I'm gonna vote for Ryoko-chan. I was very impressed with her acting, especially having seen her in Kekkon, where she played a completely different character!

Gonna start... Hana Yori Dango 2 (finally!) now.

Looks like I should check out Brother Beat next. Been hearing good stuff about it.

Am currently watching Konshu Tsuma ga Uwaki Shimasu despite the mixed reviews. I'm at the third episode and it's pretty watchable so far.
