Sounds good. Plot seems basic, but nevertheless good. It is the small things that make a masterpiece, not the big things. Currently downloading Ruri no Shima too. Yes, I like that there is a obvious lack of idols. Sure a cutie or two is nice to look at Naughty, but I've seen too many idols that clearly lack acting skills. I liked Riko Narumi in "1 Litre of Tears"; she clearly knows how to act. As of matter of fact the three female main characters (Aya, Aya's mum and Aya's sister) in the show perfomed really well. I'm still open for more suggestions, but I guess I have quite a selection to choose from now. Thanks for the suggestions Smile.

I've just finished Nodame Cantabile and all I can do is encouragin everyone to get it and see it. It's a really good comedy/romance dorama with good, classical music on top. Smile

Additionaly it also has the worst impression of Germans I've ever seen on TV. LOL....without subtitles I wouldn't have understood Elisa's "german", at all. Hehe. The few german words spoken by Kiyora and Chiaki sounded way better than the "german" spoken by the (definitely NOT) Germans. Smile

But nevertheless, or even BECAUSE,....I totally enjoyed that dorama. Nodame is 150% kawai...unbelievable.

WATCH IT! Smile

And following Nodame Cantabile I've finished Tayou no Uta after only a couple of days....

another great one....and my heart is sad now. Puppy Dog Eyes I keep telling myself "Baka! it's just TV"...but this dorama really touched me. Applaud

And I wanna see more of Erika Sawajiri...Misaki is right, by the way...it IS nice when the girl wears a skirt on a date. Naughty

After having seen some new dorama's now I try to figure out in which direction I wanna go from here. After having fallen for the main actress two times and haven shed some tears I'v come to the conclusion that Kekkon Dekinai Otoko still was the most enjoyable of all dorama's I've seen lately.
Touching/Sad Doramas are nice, too...no doubt about that. But I don't wanna be sad all the time. WinkWink
I've tried Densha Otoko, too, but somehow all those three dorama's (Densha Otoko, Taiyou no uta and Nodame Cantabile) seem to tell some kind of fairy tell (which can be nice SOMETIMES, but not always, please).
Unlike Kekkon Dekinai Otoko...where it seems like the director "only" wants to show some "normal" part of the lifes of "normal" people. No wonders happen, no tears are shed at the end and it's not one of those "and everyone lived happily ever after" stories. It's just ordinary life, spiced up with some laughters to give the audience a good feeling.
That's what I enjoy a lot.
Can anyone make some recommendations for a dorama like Kekkon Dekinai Otoko? I would really appreciate that.

I would watch it while waiting for something new with Erika Sawajiri. WinkWink

@zileas: ohoh...."tears" already in the dorama's title....LOL....looks like Erika Sawajiri in a Dorama always means tears. Wink

@orion: Thanks, I will try that one. I've browsed through the first episode a bit and it looks nice Smile

Things I've seen and can recommend

1. Hana Yori Dango I & II - start it with a lot of time on your hand. You get addicted and can't stop.
2. Jotei - This one you can stop easily... there are only 6 episodes out yet. But it rocks... Big time .. WATCH IT!
3. Nobuta wo produce... so funny
4.Gokusen
5.GTO
6. Kamisama mou sukushi dake - Kaneshiro Takeshi... I love you
