How is life in Tokyo? different from what you thought it would've been?

KT! Heh, nice to know everyone is still here w00t!

Tokyo is good. In a lot of ways, better than I thought. I was worried I might be lonely, but I have a lot of friends already, Japanese and gaijin, so it's been good. Money is a bit of an issue, but other than that, it's been great. My gf is arriving from the UK on Saturday for three weeks, so things should only get better! Victory! Peace!

Thx!

I can PLAY it (be it not with mediaplayer 6.4), but not DOWNLOAD it.
Does anyone know how?
I tried CocSoft StreamDown (http://www.cocsoft.com/)
The software thinks http://mb.softbank.jp/mb/campaign/shared/cm/0712201b.wmv is the internal file, but can't download that... It says connection ok; but Handshake error, etc.

Ah... I finally was able to grab it! Now i can add the mp3 to my playlist.

Quick edit from the CM-grab to better the cell-phone tone:

Aya Ueto - Silent Night.mp3

For archival purposes, the old link:Aya Ueto - Silent Night.mp3

Please inform me if you have a better (quality) version!!

Aya Ueto - Silent Night (without the Aya X-mas wish).mp3

The dog is - ofcourse - deleted.

Man, do i adore this song - be it short. Bow Aya-san

The lyrics of the song were written in German by Josef Mohr in 1816. Below is the first part (of three); Aya only sings that first part:
Silent night, holy night.
All is calm, all is bright.
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy infant so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Edit: i see sendspace.com whines with "Sorry, the free service is at full capacity." sometimes. In that case, an alternative location is in my signature.

ATTENTION PLEASE !

As an Aya supporter myself, I must inform you about the other great ressources the internet can offer. Whatever becomes this thread, dead or alive, you must not be narrow-minded : please keep in mind that the Aya entertainment continues ! Well, some people will tell me that she nearly *died* in 2007, but now it's over Aya has gained again faith in her, thanks to the live tour she was courageous enough to do. The japanese people loves her. But ... we're not gonna let them own 100 % of Aya-chan :p although they can (and must) be proud of this sensational young lady of their people. Thus, in order to strenghten the international community, I want to introduce you to the biggest Aya-supporting community outside Japan : THE HONG KONG AND TAIWAN FORUM ! http://bbs.uetoayafans.com
Okay, so what's the interest to go there ? Why is Gohan-kun (me) trying to get you there ? Then do learn, dear old & new fans, that most of the Aya news (in chinese though =) ) and VIDEOS are given THERE !
The more Aya material you get, the more alive are discussions, the less cheat-chatting there are ! As a proof of their friendship towards us, the chinese guys made the effort of adding an ENGLISH interface. Just 4 U =). Refert to my post below to learn how to register an activate that english interface.
Trust me, do register and check the multimedia section, you'll be Wow! Drooling ...
Btw, kinds regards to jinzoaya, who has been for a long time our "penpal, link and pointman" to the hk&tw forum. If u have noticed he's been transmitting some of the videos posted there to here, without asking anything in return. Just because we were "interesting guys" Mr Green Applaud . That was before an english section was created over there. If you join the hk&tw forum, he'll be very happy =) and you'll understand the hugeness of the task he used to do.

All this ... is up to no one but you.
As a matter of fact, don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to tell you to desert this thread ! I know many of you have good memories here. You can keep talking in here. I just wanted to inform you about where, nowadays, is located most of the Aya material.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, let me promote my companions' independant contributions :
* www.thisiskawaii.com independant forum hosted on hawaii, created by CANDYMAN808 . Besides a brand new beat Ueto thread, you can find a video section (with direct downloads) and a gallery section filled with HQ scans by CANDYMAN808 HIMSELF ! I have to add he is particularly lucky, it seems in hawaii you can find priceless magazines at reasonable prices =) Cheers, Candy Wink
To be honest, I do have some problems to connect to this site (and I'm not the only one) but I admit it's hosted on the other side of earth so ... but it randomly works. In case you guys still not convinced, have a glance at this :

Whole set (HQ version over 3000 x 2000 pixels ) located in the gallery section of thisiskawaii.com hehe

* www.ayasuki.com Remember Freefall ? Well, master Free hasn't just sat down and waited ... I remind you that, during your absence old fans, he's been assuming at least 50% of the activity of this thread, and last but not least, his contributions represent not less than 60% of the HQ scans available on the internet nowadays. I think you guys have a lot of scans to save hehe Wow! Drooling
Example :

From honolulu plaisance harbor, shot during AP special filming Big Grin
To quickly see all his past contributions, check his blog www.ayasuki.com

* www.aya.rikku.nu Site of GLOOMY-SAMA ! Gloomy is one of this rare jewel supporter : he understands japanese and uses its talent to tranlaste Aya's blog (yes.. aya now owns a blog) into ENGLISH ! (chinese translation available on the hk&tw forum)Besides this huge contribution, you can find brief summaries of Aya's latest activities.
Please accept my poor congratulations, gloomy. Bow

* http://www.uety-cafe.com/MT3_n/blog/ Blog of Uety, the best helpful japanese guy out there =). Tons of informations, videos, links, videos, preview pics. Updated daily. My only regret is that sometimes he posts numerous previews of great news video but we can't download them, and he doesn't tell us where to either. On the other hand, his scans archives are a real information mine for who is willing to rename and sort his infinite collection of Aya images Nut => http://www.uety-cafe.com/zasshi/Myojo/2007/ (example) all magazines titles are on the left column.

How do I register on the hk& tw forum ?

Posted by jinzoaya in the past :

You can go to the homepage (http://bbs.uetoayafans.com/index.php). On the top right corner, you'll find this word [] (ie register), click it.
On the following page, just fill out your personal particulars:
1. username
2. password
3. test code (?) I don't know how to translate it. Anyway, just copy the word in chinese and paste it in the box.
4. confirmation of password
5. Email
6. MSN (optional)
7. Simply ignore it. I also don't know what it is.
Next time you visit, simply click [o^] (ie log-in) on the homepage, then fill out the first two items (ie username and p/w). That's all.

So, how do I activate the english interface ?

GOOD NEWS - English Interface Installed
Dear all members,
English version of UAFC has been installed.
You can now go to your Profile Settings to change it:
http://bbs.uetoayafans.com/memcp.php?action=profile&typeid=5
Under the first dropdown menu, you'll see "English" theme option.
Choose that and click on yellow submit button at the bottom of the page.
So far, it is not completely in English but I'd say probably 95% of it is.
Many Thanks to Administrator Jusin for installing it.

Please try it out and if you have any questions, just let me know.

I don't promote (edit : I mean, this is no free advertising, it is justified) , I don't want to let the old fans in the shadow. They have the right to be informed after so long time gone away.
As I said, whether or not this thread will continue, is not up to me but to them. And if u want my opinion, you don't have to worry about jdorama's frenquentation, these guys have a lot of good memories here.
