Hello. I am new.
I don't watch alot of J-doramas yet, but I need to watch alot to practice Japanese. I am a 3rd year Japanese student. By 4th year I will expected to know casual / conversational Japanese even though we are never taught it in this system. (We are using the JSL system. I hate the JSL system.)
Basically, at my school, students are expected to go to Japan for a term and learn casual conversation type Japanese from home-stay families. However, I cannot afford a term abroad. So, I have a problem.
Anyway, I need to find some series to watch. I've been wacthing RHPlus, which is a terrible show about Japanese vampires. I am in love with the show, though. I searched this forum for RHPlus and got no results. I am hoping to find other, less silly, doramas that I would like.
I like supernatural shows, slice of life shows, Go, etc. I tend to loathe romantic comedies. So, if anyone has any reccomendations for me, that would be great. Thanks.

Matsumomo desu, yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
I've always followed Jdorama from time to time from long ago but never been a member *blush* I love it here cuz the dorama infos provided here are accurate & fast, and I love reading the ramblings and comments made by the members - that is my basis to buy/watch the jdorama! And plus point - I can get to request OST too !!
Currently watching Ashita no Kita Yoshio (final ep!!) and Sasaki Fusai... Both of them are taking me away from my k-dramas for a while hehe...

Hi everyone!!
Japanese dramas and animes are my favourite because I always seem to be able to learn something from watching them. Of course, I love mangas too and I own a few series.I am currently learning the Japanese language on my own,it's kind of hard but I guess I am a little lucky since writing and pronuncing it is not a problem;I only have to focus on understanding, learning new words and the sentence structure. My greatest passion other than Jdramas, mangas and animes is football or soccer as some would call it. I am a fan of Manchester United Football Club.
I have actually been a regular of this site without having been a member because I don't really see the need to post on the forum since I am only here to source for new dramas to watch. However, it seems like I've hit a brick wall and now I do not have any idea what to watch. So I decided to join the forum and hope that some of you here could give me some suggestions. I just finished Yuukan Club and I like comedies about school life; well most of the dramas I watched are of this genre anyway.

HI HI minna-san,
i think im still considered as new member right?
ha though i registered last year, i only started to post.
well well i started watching j-doramas when i was still in secondary sch (high school) abt 10years ago and was hooked to it immediatley.
back at those days, Beach Boys and Long Vacation were the hit and popular doramas.
and similarly i was attracted to Takashi Sorimachi and Takuya Kimura, the hotties
and my interest in Japanese culture and language grew.
i started learning elementary level
and by now it has all returned back to my sensei.
i hardly can read hira and kata.
had to think extra long before i could make out the words
slowly after that i forgot what stopped me from watching j-doramas
for about 2-3years..
the # of j-doramas i watched are countable within my 10fingers.
and now my craze for j-dorama is BACK!!!
TADAIMA~~~
and guess which dorama brought me back
is Nodame Cantabile!!!!
it was so funny and entertaining...
really enjoyed the speed and amazing plots of j-doramas.

i still remember my first post was in the Nodame Cantabile thread, that was after i've been inflicted with the NC syndrome..but then i kinda lagged off a bit coz maybe i still wasn't use to posting hir..
then i just recently came back to posting, reason is tamaki-kun of course!! i just felt that at least in this forum his thread was alive unlike in the other forums plus im sooo addicted now to anything japanese related especially dramas,artists,movies..it's nice being around people having the same interests..
hopefully i can make new friends hir!! let's spread the jdo addiction!! _________________
