is it me, or is it true... that i found Hagumi talks really really really slow~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I almost doze off each time she talks....
oops, sorry about it! no offence to Riko-chan.
Anyway, I finished the last episode... I would say the drama could have been better.... _________________ **********************

I haven't seen this yet but as good as the anime was there is no way this show could come close....

Well if you're a big fan of the anime then I say don't watch it or else you will be disappointed just like most of the Japanese population. I hadn't seen it beforehand so I didn't have any standards the drama should compare to. Without seeing the anime, I'd say the drama is okay. There are some slow parts but this isn't really a quick developing drama anyway. My favorite part of each episode actually happened to be the ending credits. Haha, not cause the episode was over, but just cause it wasn't the same thing everytime. It was new video clip of the five of them hanging out, having fun and happened to be really funny everytime. It was a nice pick-me-up after some sad scenes

Well I saw the Honey and Clover film, even that was a weak attempt at translating the anime onto the big screen. I might take a wack at the dorama, but probably not anytime soon.

yesh...... in the first 2 episodes, I still think it was quite good.... then it started to drag~~~~~~~~ YAWN~~~~~~~~
Takemoto did expressed eventually... but that was like towards the end... if you are only looking for that, then maybe you can just skip the episodes and go to episode 9 or 10.
Personally I would not have watched it, if not for Nomiya-san. haha....
Anyway, I always can't help it to think "Can Hagumi speaks faster?!" oops... sorry! |
AH HA~ chokakoi....
how did u manage to guess what i did...
i did tried to skip and go to epi 9 or 10..
but i hardly do this coz i find it hard to understand what was going on in between of the missed episodes...
when i skipped to epi 9... i was HUH.. how did takemoto land up travelling around himself...
and i decieded i shd stop and go back to the front...
and yesh yesh.. hagumi really speak like a turtle... and her voice was so soft...
i was taken aback when she started speaking in epi 2 or 3 (cant rmb)
well well i think i will continue this after i finish Tamaki's shikaotoko aoniyoshi...

its nowhere near as good, but if you've never seen the anime, it's probably better.

This drama was just a little over average for me. I only watched the movie and about 6-8 episodes of the anime. The movie hooked me on the whole honey and clover series, even though the movie itself wasn't as good as I hoped for. The Honey and Clover series seems to be very character driven. You had to have some attachment to every character, or else the show wouldn't be as interesting to you.
Here's how I rate each character (drama) out of 5 stars:
Hagu: *** Talks slow yet her eyes are so wide open and BIG. kinda gives me a feeling that she might burst
Takemoto ***** I just liked his character.
Mayama ** The whole Rika-Mayama chemistry wasn't working for me
Yamada ** I liked the Movie Yamada way better.
Morita *** I usually like all of Narimiya Hiroki's characters, but this one didn't work for me. The age gap of him and the others wasn't there at all. I mean he's been in college for 8 years now, traveling around the world, and he just seems like the rest of crew. I'm not even sure if I'm making sense
The best thing about the drama is the soundtrack. I love the song Canvas and most of the background music. Anyone have the OST?

There were nice and funny moments here and there but overall I would say the series was just okay. All the pining all the characters did for each other got irritating. I just couldn't see why Mayama was so attracted to Rika when Yamada was much better. Or why Yamada was so attracted to Mayama when Nomiya was much better. Or why Hagu liked Morita. Or why Morita and Takemoto liked Hagu because she looked like a little kid... (Lots of people think Narumi Riko looks old for her age but I just think she looks her age.) Oh well. |
I'm not seen this yet, but I had watch the anime and 100% AGREE with you!!! Even in the anime, the storyline is so frustrating but the anime itself is GREAT, and that what keep me watching.
