Wow, I have two friends whose parents came from Italy. One of my friends, her father comes from Bari (between the ankle and the heel, lol) in the Puglia region. Her sister is getting married in Bari later this year Mr Green I won't be going, but I hope to see Italy someday Wink

My other friend, her mom comes from Catanzaro, in the Calabria region. My great-grandfather was from Sicily, but I don't know much about him. Chatter

Grazie Mille.

Actually I used to go to Milan pretty often for my job and during my study abroad. Would love to go back to Italy and live and study some more. I graduated college last year, so I no longer have the chance to study abroad, Sad. But nevertheless, it is still my favorite European country, Smile, I love how relaxed everyone is as well as how soothing and friendly the language made me feel.

P.S. I learned how to cook Italian food when I was in Firenze, I am proud to say my cooking is pretty authentic (for a non-Italian, hehe).

Fiercestriker -> Can you cook Italian food? Great!!! I'm curious to hear what you're able to cook!!
I love cookin'! Given that I live by myself in Milan I had to learn... if I wanted to survive!!! But when I'm back home I also like cooking cakes and sweets and stuff like that... and I'm also good at it!!

KouSeiya-> So in your blood there's a little bit of Italy!! Good!! Big Grin
I've never been in the South of Italy... I don't know why but during my life I've visited much more the rest of Europe than my country!!! Bleah

I find cooking very interesting and it is fun to see what you can make with limited resources. I once made an entire meal out of a bag of bread, a dozen eggs, and a little bit of ham when my friends and I got stuck in a snow storm in the resort. I made. omurice by crushing the bread and mix it with the ham (more like omu-breadcrumb, but it tasted good), made egg toasts, ham wraps with egg white in side, etc.
It was way too many eggs, but it was fun, Smile.

I can't cook cakes or sweets, though, don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I make the best Omurice, Big Grin.

Im half Vietnamese and half chinese....Although i understand more vietnamese than chinese; however, my reading and writing for vietnamese are severely limited to the point where i can only read off the food menu, but can barely write the words that are on the food menu unless i have the menu infront of me Shameful Cry Im ashamed of my viet skills. Chinese on the other hand, learned i think mandarin for 3 months was it??? but i remember i 4got everything i learned in like 2 weeks

These polls are always frustrating because the person making it always puts like only 3 Asian ethnicities, then European (while only trying to be PC in terms of Caucasians).

Grumble Grumble

I'm mostly American. Which is an ethnicity, despite what you've heard. Ethnicity doesn't mean nationality or some sort of blood-relation. In fact, you can have multiple ethnicities, since it's based on the culture, religion, etc. of a single person. And compared to my family and friends, I've realized just how American I am sometimes. Sweat LOL
