LOL! No, not really. I mean, I'd already seen 4 episodes before, so I've only seen three since. Well, four, now that I've finished epi 8.
I'm gonna finish the rest tomorrow. The ending of epi 8 was grand and I want the feeling to last, since I know it's gonna go down from here.
Yeah, I remember 7 being a good one too.. some of the better eps, in my opinion.
I watched 7 or 8 eps of Arrested Development this afternoon.... and I just finished up Ep. 8 of Lunch No Joou. It's a really great drama.. if the ending keeps up, it might make my top 3 list
Safe to say, it's really weird to be back here from having spent time back in CA where all my friends and family are and I was busy all the time spending time with them. It may be hard to get used to being alone again. _________________

Finished Kamisan Nanka Kowakunai. Hands down one of the funnier situational comedy type dramas I've seen. The 3 old hands (Tamura Masakazu, Hashizume Isao, and Kadono Takuzo) are masters of comedy with an effortless chemistry that makes for lots of laughs every episode. I also really enjoyed the cameo appearances by several of Japanese most famous actresses ~ Rie Miyazawa, Kyoko Koizumi, Hitomi Kuroki, et al.
This show merely reinforces the fact that the older dramas are by and large better than the stuff that's come out in the last few years.
Nagasawa Masami sucks! instead of sympathizing i'm already tired of her. if she doesn't show her emotions more (she should at least look scared like she means it). she's just gonna look like the stereotype air-headed dumb girl. Masami should've seen Higurashi before acting for this show
go kick the jerk in the 3=) and dump him already! sheesh... _________________

I just finished the first episode of Sexy Voice and Robo. I don't know what to think of it yet, but it made me laugh quite a bit. Also, it's hilarious seeing Kenichi Matsuyama as Robo. Sooo different from L in Death Note. xD

I'm really glad you enjoyed "Kamisan Nanka Kowakunai". It's a favorite. Watching those three old boys work, seeing them seem to subtly revert to the relationship they had as High School kids (without using any tricks) just sucked me into that series.
And no matter how the main plot line goes... I think I'm gonna have a great time just watching Natsukawa Yui & Suzuki Sawa work together. They play old friends who are, in their late 30s, still very unsuccessful actresses. Taking whatever jobs they can find... and in the case of Yui, still working part time in a family restaurant.
You wanna see two ladies who are as good as anyone from any era? _________________

Thanks a lot, Geez!
Have to agree with you 100%, Tu_Triky.
When it comes to dorama and the actors and actresses who perform in them, in general older is better.
Craftsmanship, both in writing and acting, is sorely lacking in much of the dorama of the 21st century.
Too bad there's not a better copy of Kamisan Nanka Kowakunai available.

I figured we'd be of like mind on the subject...I don't despise all the newer stuff but in general I've always agreed, and moreso as time passes, that the older, the better.
Yeah the copy is a bit rough but I'm glad I was able to watch it nonetheless...
One baffling thing about Kamisan Nanka Kowakunai is that when you read the description of this drama on this board and on the drama wiki is that the synopsis seems to be totally wrong. In fact the description for Kamisan no waruguchi 2 seems to be the description for Nanka Kowankunai....my question then is are these two dramas related in some way? If anybody could shed some light on this, please fire away.

Just finished Lunch No Joou, ep 11, thinking it was the last.. and there's one more! The ending is dragging a little, but I really have enjoyed the series.
Sadly, I'm home sick today.. I haven't been feeling well the last couple of days, but today I've been pretty much stuck in bed (and in the bathroom). So much for a gym outing today... Been like 10 years since I've been this out of it. _________________

Finished Last Friends. Sugoi, this drama really came around in the end. I'll watch the SP before writing my review.
Interesting. Most of the guys don't seem to like this drama, but you and I seem to like it more than dislike it. Well, I've only seen up to episode 9, so I'm unsure what my full opinion is.
On topic: I'm not really watching a drama, but I am checking some drama DVDs that I got in recently, so does that count? _________________

is this a copy with english subs? doesn't seem to be on d-addicts
been wondering what to watch and a masakazu sounds like it might just be the thing
Yes it does have English subs...it was recorded off local Los Angeles television, so it's hardsubbed...the copy is a vhs to dvd transfer but the original source material is quite degraded...so the picture is about "C "quality.
