Interesting factoid: Before I knew of Nodame, they were showing it on broadcast TV on Saturdays at 10PM, but with no subtitles... I always seemed to catch the closing credits and thought "Hmm, this is pretty cool, I should check this show out..."

Little did I know what would happen.... Smitten

That sounds like an opening narration for a movie: "Beem: A Nodame Story"

I hope you realize that "beemer" refers to BMW motorcycles and "bimmer" refers to BMW automobiles... Bleah

At her height, 5'-6" (167cm), she's gotta be at least 100lbs. (45kg), I think.

She's pretty thin, but I'd probably put her at about 110-115. The Chinese girl I dated was a very slight frame (size 0 or 00) but was a little more muscular than Juri and about 5'5". She ranged between about 115 and 125.

Yeah, 110-115, might work... My niece is a bit taller at 5-7, but she weighs 130... From the basketball and volleyball, I guess. Beaten

I was actually kinda surprised that Eita could handle her like that (he's what.. maybe 135?) - he's super thin (Hiroshi ain't much bigger). And if I remember, Nodame was slightly more substantial than Ruka, even though we never got to see her in anything remotely revealing (well, shoulders notwithstanding Smitten)

I bet your niece could carry Nodame around Mr Green

lol. this might be out of topic, but aren't most asian idols a little bit too lightweighted, cuz 45kg for a 1,67m tall woman is definitly underweight. but I guess I must have been living in germany too long. xD

gomenasai for being OOT (out of topic)

I went to watch the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra last Sunday as they were playing William Tell Overture and Dvorak's Symphony No. 9. It was so cool (my first time attending), I'm still completely awed by it, especially the parts which were played in Nodame.

The MPO will be playing Brahms' Symphony No. 1 in October but I"m not sure if it's the same one Chiaki conducted? Cause the brochure says C Minor but the Nodame tracklist says C Major but both are Op. 95. Can anyone tell me if it's the same thing?

Anyone else went to orchestra performances just because they were playing Nodame songs?
