Hey.. I think you guys should have visited the official website for manami san... http://www.konishimanami.net/portrait.html they just uploaded some new photos.. and in one photo, i think she looks like a rather cute animal..

i was reading how the Ainu and the Okinawans were subjugated by the real "Japanese" to make themselves look civilised in the eyes of the westerners.... and also how the Ainus were thought to be "caucasoid" be the westerners .... and how japanese people still discriminate against the Ainu people..... off topic... nevermind.... hohohoho.... Maybe it's just me, but it looks like she got eye surgery? Her eyes look much bigger than they appeared to be in Hotman and Seikei Bijin.

Yeah. I agree. Her eyes were so small in Hotman that all I could see was the black. Pretty scary stuff.

I don't think it's eye surgery. I think she just got a new stylist. Have you guys seen some pretty freaky celebrity photos without makeup? Like Cameron Diaz who looks like a hag without makeup? With the right make up, a pretty girl can become beautiful, which I believe is the case here. They just found the right make up to highlight her good features and smooth out her bad ones, that's why those new photos look so much cuter.

Possibly, but there's a big difference. I mean, BIG difference...she was cute before, and nothing has really changed...just her eyes.
