A really good drama... It wasn't particularly deep or complex, nor was it dumb or mind-numbing... Just light, warmhearted, and thoroughly enjoyable.
A really good overall cast and you can't help but adore Natsukawa Yui's endearing performance...
An easy 9/10.
I agree 100% with this. The writing and performances are excellent on Muri na Renai, and it's completely free of cynicism. It was the show which first introducted me to the wonderful Natsukawa Yui.
On topic: I've just finished Haikei, Chichiue-sama, a drama about the conflict between the old and modern set in a traditional restaurant. Most of the cast was over 30, which is always a good sign, and Yachigusa Kaoru was particularly good as the grandmother. Next I think I may try Kaze no Garden, which shares the same writer and some cast members, including Kuroki Meisa and her perfect cheekbones.

She's not collecting any insurance money, so WTF is going on?
I guess that's why they call it a mystery

It's my second Yui-chan drama after Kekkon Dekinai Otoko and I like her performance in Muri na Renai even more (though she did win an award for her role in KDO)...
Her face is quite luminous, especially when she smiles...
Gone through the first two episodes of Joshi Deka!... Talk about going from the penthouse (Muri na Renai) to the basement.
Most (all?) of the characters are irritating, it's sexist, it's abusive, it's stupid, it veers from hard crime drama (serial murder) to slapstick comedy, and it's exasperating...
I don't think I can sit through the remaining nine episodes without severe fast-forward usage...

Re: Muri na Renai. Yui and Suzuki Sawa doing their make-up made the whole series for me. The love story, the private lives, all the other stuff was okay. But those conversations, that relationship made "Muri" one of the most enjoyable shows I've ever seen.

It's gonna drive me crazy. I've been collecting the specials... but so far no one seems interested in subbing them.
I'm about half way through Nanase Futatabi and still enjoying it.
I've also started an older show called "Love & Peace" just because I needed to see some grainy video. _________________

Finished watching Pandora. Very good show. The leads ( Yanagiba Toshiro and Mikami Hiroshi ) are strong and the storyline has lots of interesting facets about the quest for a cure to cancer.
Re-watching Over Time because it's been awhile. Also on the watch list is Hissatsu Shigotonin 2007 SP.
