But today I watched ep 7 of Orthros no Inu yay! There was no ep the one week cos of Ryo being sick, I got my hands on this on Fri, but then I went away for the weekend, watched it tonight instead of revising :: slaps head ::

Nice choice. Big Grin

Im on the third ep of Shiroi Haru.

I found the first ep a bit predictable but the second is pulling me in more and more.

Oh, sweet. Turns out I am not alone. Naughty How did that stodgy, colorless man ever find work in J-Ent? Dull as dishwater. It boggles the mind... *evil laughter* mwahaha

Still, Episode 5, ehhh? I admire your tenacity, lol. I think I gave up after 3. Shake Head

I don't really have an opinion for or against Fukuyama Masaharu. But i'm very interested in GALILEO because of the genre. Love this kind of investigative shows. Mr Green

Ender's Girl wrote:

You mentioned GALILEO, and I just remembered TRICK 1, which I watched for an episode (or tried to) before bailing. At least I gave it a chance, ne? Hahahahaha. Mebbe I can take it up again when I'm less... preoccupied. It's hard to concentrate on the plot when the production values and screen quality scream "1975!!!! 1975!!! I was made in 1975!!!!" every bleeping second. Twisted

*skedaddles outta here*

^SUPER FUNNY!!! rofl But i've never watched TRICK 1 though. Hehe.

Egads! The man... sings!?!?!??!! mwahaha (Then I realize this is J-Ent, so it makes perrrrfect sense. Rolling eyes) *trudges off to Youtube to listen to those blasted music vids*

Yes he does. I loved the theme song he did for SLOW DANCE. It was called Tokyo. Nice song!!!

Ender's Girl wrote:
*scampers back* Egads!!! The man really CAN sing!!! Shocked (Y'know, the first time I said this I was just being sarcastic... Sweat) Okay, okay, I see it now, I see the mid-'90s cuteness, I see the talent. Bonk And when I first saw him smile ("Hello" video, 0:17), I was like, "it's alive!!! it's alive!!!" rofl

lol

Ender's Girl wrote:

So. Yes. Okay. I shall give that 1995 renzoku you mentioned a try. Victory! Peace! Mebbe the Blue Fairy remembered to bring Fukuyama Masaharu to life for that particular drama, ne? No such luck for him in GALILEO, I'm afraid. This was in 2007, so the Blue Fairy prolly had her hands full zipping from one Idol drama to another, trying to animate all these little wooden J-Pop puppets (J-Puppets? J-Poppets? hahaha), so she may have overlooked poor ol' Professor Galileo... nyah

The writing and direction are all over the place, so unless there's any significant improvement later on, I guess I'll be watching this drama for the sheer Eye Candy. (Oh! And you too, Fujiki Naohito!!! Rolly) Which ain't exactly the worst thing, ne? Drunk

Agree with you on Fujiki Naohito being eye candy. I don't usually say actors are handsome. Not even my dearest YUTAKA TAKENOUCHI. But somehow I blurted out to my brother that this Fujiki guy was handsome when SLOW DANCE was shown on tv. Bonk

A K-drama with a similar premise to that of DEKICHATTA KEKKON...? Did you mean WONDERFUL LIFE (2005) starring Kim Jae-won and Eugune? Mr Green

No wasn't thinking of WONDERFUL LIFE. In fact, I don't think I've heard of this before. Not that interested in Kdramas actually. But because they are rampantly shown on free-to-air tv here, I do get to sample some of these 'popular' Kdramas. Mr Green

Ender's Girl wrote:

But if you meant any non-weepy, non-cliched K-drama, oh, there's LOTS of those around. Big Grin K-Ent has come a long way since those "I am blind! And I have amnesia! And I have leukemia! AND I'm in love with my brother! Which means one of us will have to die before the drama ends!" story lines. Twisted

lol

ZOMG I noticed that, too! Lovey Eyes I'm loving that song to bits!!! It's actually the best part about that drama, hehe (...that, and Tsumabuki SATOSHI's perfect face, hehe Naughty). Actually kind of sad how (each episode) my interest level peaks at the opening credits before starting its slow, inexorable slide to Snoozeland at the halftime mark. Drooling Drooling Drooling My my, but this drama is starting to draaaag me dowwwwn. Can't even finish an episode in one sitting. Grumble (This is me, who marathoned NwP in one fell swoop!!! Sweat) Oh well, we'll see how much longer I can stick it out. Rolling eyes

Yep, he's incredibly, ridiculously handsome alright. Wink But his character just isn't given much to work with. All he's been doing these past 3 or 4 episodes is sit and drink glumly in bars while his harpy of a girlfriend needles him no end. Shake Head Well, my mind wanders from whatever plot (non)development is happening when he's on-screen, anyway. I tend to focus on that thick, glossy head of hair, which (amusingly) has NOT changed style over the years. Twisted

Ohhhh, Fujikiiiii... Was HOTARU NO HIKARI the only drama that I liked you in? Yep. It was. Oh Crap

While waiting for the Oyaji/AIbou downloads I decided to watch Kasouken no Onna - Investigator Mariko. It's not grand and the cases are full of plot holes but it's enjoyable enough.

Galileo ep. 6. This series always seems to make me sleepy... although it was nice to see Horikita Maki in a small but important role. I don't remember her actually having any lines, but dang, she's pretty!

SLOW DAZE er... SLOW DANCE - Done. Finally. bleh The main characters don't do much (figurative) "dancing" here... more like this sad, aimless shuffling against the desultory strains of a two-bit wedding band at 2 a.m. Rolling eyes Zero TsumabukiSatoshiXFukatsuEri chemistry from start to finish. Grumble Too bad, because Fukatsu Eri clearly gives this role everything she's got, but the way her character is written is one big waste of her talent. Shake Head Still, the Tsumabuki/Fujiki Combined Eye Candy is a pleasant (and extremely welcome)... diversion. Naughty

MY BOSS, MY HERO Episode 5. Hahahaha why ain't nobody never been tellin' me 'bout dis Nagase Tomoya, why why why huh??? Nut Bonk Nut Bonk (==> Dammit, I spend a few episodes with his chowderheaded character... en I kent ivven spell good no mo'... Shtoopidity is infektiouss, yesss?) All I really knew about him was that: 1) he's a Johnny, and 2) he's famous for playing these Himbos!-with-a-Heart! roles. The plot contrivances here are as facile and shallow as you'd find in any high school farce (*cough* GOKUSEN 2 *cough*), but but BUT Nagase Tomoya is comedic GOLD, and he IS a riot to watch. Applaud And--and-- dayyyyum, but the man is hot. Sweat Sweat Sweat Ehehehehe you dumb sexy beast. Naughty Naughty Naughty (I just wish the Yakuza would do us all a favor and stiff that androgynous little shrimp of a fairy-boy who follows Nagase's character around like a puppy. A mangy, flea-bitten puppy. Ugh, hateful little thing. screw u)
