I was in a karate class in college. The sensei felt that he had to interject "Japanese cultural notes" into the curriculum. He taught us to say "OSU!" at the top of our lungs in class, which I learned later, is not a very polite thing to say in most quarters.

Hai
Kawaii
Arigatou
Ohayou
Gomennasai
Oyasumi

I'm not sure which of them, but these were the easiest and more catchy, for a foreign language that is.

I learned my first words reading Shogun as a kid.

So I'd say it was the gaijin Pilot Blackthorse saying Gomen Nasai! Bow

Apart from stuff that has made it into English (karaoke etc) I would have to say it is baka because it is said about every three seconds in Naruto.

I remember "Ie, Toranaga-sama!"

(Which seems like the wrong thing to say to the Shogun!)

My first words are also from karate class lol. I'd imagine you took kyokushin, since you were saying 'osu'?

I took Go Gan Ryu, so my first word was (other than maybe 'sensei') 'hai' followed by more karate curriculum stuff...mae geri, mawashi geri, etc etc.

Osu! =]
