The first time with crappy subs. Loved it anyway.

Oh, the crappy subs the first time shouldn't have mattered anyway because 70% of the bloody dialogue was Halu saying "maybe...?" Twisted

Blue Scorpions, FTW! w00t!

Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru

I like episode 1 a lot but the second episode was pretty disappointing. Maybe because they tried to string together events that happened a long time apart in real life, the build-up was lacking and people's reactions felt exaggerated and unrealistic...

The series ties together as it goes on. I thought it was better than the average cliche High School drama.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to watch many doramas lately as I've been on yet another Asian trip (this time China) plus there's also JLPT revision.

I've finally Finished Golden Bowl. Fantastic central performances, both Kaneshiro Takeshi and Kuroki Hitomi are outstanding and have excellent chemistry. Their interactions and the complicated nature of their romance turned the show into something special. Nojima Shinji's script ranges from the profound and moving to just plain silly and dumb, I wish there could have been less of the latter, I also wish there were less bowling.

I now have to decide which Nojima Shinji dorama to watch next.

GB has been one of my favorite dramas from early on. The leads and supports are terrific and storyline solid. But I enjoyed the bowling too. Beaten The surreal quality of their opponents was great fun I thought. Victory! Peace!

I finished Call Center no Koibito this morning.

http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1439.htm

As Mark and a few others have mentioned... it's not a great series. It's got rather a silly premise (the staff at the complaint department of a TV shopping network take it on themselves to go out and solve their client's personal problems.) but you know... it's TV land, and how realistic was it that all those people kept getting murdered in Angela Lansbury's small town in "Murder She Wrote."

Anyway... I think this is a show you have to pick your moment for.

For me, I've had a really lousy week, and I needed something simple, and sort of mindless. Comfort food TV, if you will. And that's what this was. At no time did the plot or the other actors get in the way of my Mimura watching. And there was just enough story in each episode to keep me from getting annoyed.

I'll probably forget that I even watched this thing in a couple of months. but I was glad to have it this week.

Just finished Voice, it was ok, it got a little repetitive...some stories were pretty weak. Special appearance by Shida Mirai-chan (always a treat).

I had some time so I checked out Swing Girls, that was very fun!

Next up: Hataraki Man...but first, I think I'll check out the first episodes of Untouchable and Shokojo Siera

Speaking of which, have you seen Ima Ai ni Yukimasu? They broadcast it here shortly after it came out and for some reason, I just couldn't get into it but I gave it another chance and this time around I really liked it! Dunno what the hell I was thinking the first time. Bonk

Well, today I planned to watch more dramas, unfortunately, family kept calling and everyone wanted to "talk". Grumble

So, all I got to watch was Untouchable Ep. 1 and Shokojo Siera Ep. 1

Untouchable was interesting, I kept waiting for Abe Hiroshi to walk in, it definitely has a "Trick" feeling to me. I'm hoping the second ep is uploaded soon.

As for Shokojo Siera, it was well done, I liked hearing Shida Mirai's English and French. Though the way the other's treat her Shake Head This is another I'm anxiously waiting for Ep 2.

-Dave Victory! Peace!

Mark

Ima Ai ni Yukimasu? I started it. Got about two episodes in -- okay, one and a half -- and the one word that kept floating through my head as I watched it was... creepy.

Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:

I like her best when Mimura is being adorable rather than quiet and mysterious.
