Oh yeah, the "field" aka Starlight Garden is actually at Hinokicho Park. This is where SMAP member Kusanagi Tsuyoshi stripped naked in a drunken state earlier this year. Beaten

Are you on a tight budget?

This has some cheaper options. Do check for attached bathrooms as that usually makes the difference in price.
http://www.hostelworld.com

This has some lesser known hotels and usually offer alternative options.
http://www.japanhotel.net/

For last minute bookings (less than 28 days)
http://www.ratestogo.com/

This allows FULL refund and has good promotions at times. No questions asked. Good if you're really fickle, but don't abuse it!

Since we're at it... you probably will end up at this site if you're doing your itinerary online:
http://www.japan-guide.com

I used these to plan my trip earlier this year, hope this helps!

Thanks Genma! ThatLs what I was looking for. I am on a tightish budget and the hotel reservation sites I normally use, have unusually high rates for Japanese hotels.
