That was an amazing game to watch! I'm not generally a hockey fan, but that kept me on edge all three periods.

It's so difficult. I don't like cheering on Team USA against Canada. It just feels... wrong. Shake Head

It was so great of a game..

The Canadian ice dance pair Wirtue/Moir were magnificent in their Flamenco dance. A total cut above. Applaud

I thought they were also excellent in the Compulsory Dance and were robbed... they deserved a better score. Did tonight's performance move them up in the standings? (I've been busy watching hockey)

>>sigh<<

I don't think Canada will even touch the 24 or so metals we got at the last winter Olympics. I'd be surprised if we even get third place.

Congrats to US and Germany. They're killing it! Applaud

Btw, I missed the gold winning performance by Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao, but I just saw one on YT. Was Hongbo Zhao wearing a shirt with a pink stripe down the front?

Congrats to Moir and Virtue. Feel bad, but I enjoyed seeing Jon Montgomery win Gold in Skeleton even more.

I hate to bring rain to an otherwise enthusiastic thread, but boo to NBC again. Although I was somewhat miffed that the awesome US-Canada hockey game was on MSNBC and not NBC, at least it was shown live. But I was pissed when NBC decided to "break in" to the final minute of the match three hours later. Uh hello?? This is tape delayed on the west coast! Talk about breaking news that isn't so breaking.

Back to the regularly scheduled (except on the west coast) postings.

+1.

Us west coasters are perpetually hosed by these events... Olympics, award shows (except the Oscars), etc... Grumble

I too was baffled. This is/was the match everyone here was looking forward to, so they decide to air it on the channel that not everyone gets vs the channel that people can get for free OTA. Head Scratch

Yeah, MSNBC got record numbers for the game. I'm sure they would've easily surpassed that on NBC Shake Head

Going to check a few Korean news sites tomorrow. Curious to see how many people will watch Yu-Na tonight. Pulling for Rochette, so sad to hear about her mother passing away.

Flipping between Canada/ze Germans and Women's Bobsleigh. Victory! Peace!

The women's individual skating has already turned in some extraordinary performances and the best are yet to come. w00t!

The young Aussie girl Cheltzie had an inspired performance and a huge personal best. It was wonderful to see her face when she got her high marks. Mr Green

Yu-Na Kim is good. That gun pose makes her a better Bond Girl than Denise Richards ever will be. Victory! Peace!

Now watching Czechs/Latvia. Great to see Jagr again... King of the mullet hehe

Team Japan are eliminated in curling, but they are playing their last game for pride. Currently trailing 4-2 in 5th end break.
