So I'm throwing out a general question. Does anybody have any experience with Windows 7? Any opinions about the product experience are welcome.

Thanks, A.D. I have two machines with Vista and I am thinking of upgrading. One of my best friends here in L.A. said it boots up much faster than Vista, which is an important consideration for me.

Arigato. Bow

You might want to upgrade one PC at a time, just to get a feel of how different it is...

Actually, you might even be able to download a trial version from Microsoft and not even have to buy a copy.... Victory! Peace!

Yup, WIN7 is definitely a better OS than vista...
took me less than 30 mins to install and havent had any blue screens ever... even when gaming.

the release candidate trial version I think has expired or is about to expire.

I wonder if those SSD drives are going to become standard in some machines? I guess they use them a lot in laptops these days.

Yup, in a lot of netbooks... Gives them speed and extraordinary battery life: 6-8 hours.

They're pricey, but like anything, their popularity and competition will drive the prices down. Victory! Peace!
