I haven't watched anything in a couple months. But I was bored today and decided to try Bloody Monday 2. I know it's stupid, but in a good way. hehe

Oops! Slipped again. I watched episodes 13 -15 of Fumo Chitai over the weekend.

http://jdorama.com/drama.1463.htm

Who knows... maybe watching this show in chunks is making me enjoy it more than I would have if I'd watched it straight through.

Between episodes of "Fumo..." and the "Tora-san" movies I've been watching lately... I'm in geezer heaven.

Finally finished Jikou Keisatsu last night, finishing on a high note of zany/wacky behavior and random silly events. 8/10

In a way... but I don't want to leave people with the impression that there's anything medicinal or tough to swallow about this show.

Thing is... this is a very straight ahead drama about a very smart guy who spends 11 years in a Siberian POW camp after the war, and then comes home to get involved in a different kind of war. Business, and the rebuilding of Japan.

Normally, if there's no comedy in a show, it better have a lot of explosions and killings, and hot girls in spray-on clothing to keep me interested. But that's not what "Fumo Chitai" is about.

What it is... is riveting.

Just finished it 2 weeks ago, can get depressing at times but definitly worth a watch, the cast did a relly good job considering the topic, Applaud there's a thread for the show worth checking out. Just started season two of Code Blue, first seaon started out slow but picked up nicely by the end, Victory! Peace! but the first 2 episodes this time started out with a big bang, Dancing really looking forward to the rest of the episodes. Fingers crossed

I gotcha... The serious subject matter makes it hard to watch in one steady stream without a break...

Episode 4 of Massugu na Otoko. On the fence if I like this one, but Magerarenai Onna is definitely better than this one Good ...

Very much so. I've been watching it as the subs come out which means I'm watching a new episode about every two weeks and I'm able to pick up right where it left off.

Lots of good actors here, no spiky haired stick boys. Remember Kenichi Endo? He ran the pastry shop in Shiroi Haru. Completely the opposite here. He is so good here as Sameshima, Karasawa's business rival, the slime practically oozes off of him.

Now watching "Marusa!!" - Tokyo Tax Department. Not sure if it meant to be a comedy but the disguises that the tax officers put on were really whimsical. And watching it, i realise i miss Esumi Makiko on the silverscreen.

I'm watching "Ando Natsu". It's amazing to see what an art wagashi-making is. I wonder if they sell them in SoCal. Some of them look too beautiful to eat.

I was watching White Lies giving it the benefit of the doubt becoz of high reviews but after 40 eps (30 mins each), I'm ready to give up...
doesnt seem like my cup of tea. I may revisit again after a while...

Bad couple, another Kdrama seems good but what I'm really liking so far is an oldie... Lovers in Prague. I think I can finish this quickly...

Just finished Magerarenai Onna. HIghly recommended, especially if you're fans of Miho Kanno, Shosuke Tanihara and Hiromi Nagasaku... great job by those three
