I kinda agree with you. I don't need a bikini photo album DVD to come out every year....just a few pool or beach shots. I mean she's such a rare beauty. She's super cute in some pictures like Maki Horikita and jaw dropping hot in others (see Zizow post on January 5, 2008 at 237PM). Of course, I love her acting. In Hotaru no Hikari, she gets all giddie after recalling her phone call with her boyfriend, and when she's about to cry her face is really cute. I love this actress. Hope she get's a share of leading lady roles.

I just watched Ichi on blue-ray. Haruka does an awesome job. But the item I'd like to point out is the premiere special feature. In one of the on-stage interviews during the premiere (I think Shibuya), she just looks incredibly beautiful. Not just cute and hot. I was like wowwwww!!! I think for movie premieres that the actors must work out or watch what they eat as she looked really good (not too skinny). The little boy actor that is in several scenes with her is in a sharp dark suit. On stage during his interview he confesses his love to her. Then, the people asking the questions start making fun of him by asking if he's even hit puberty. His comments make Ayase laugh and her incredible smile comes out. Throughout the various premiere interviews she's getting praise from Osawa or the director of Ichi. Either their jonesing for her or really like her professionalism. My guess is both. I know this is the jdorama site but I recommend this version of the DVD. I bought the blue ray version on Amazon.

Check out the JDorama "Mother". The little girl in it looks like a seven year old Ayase. They could pass as mother and daughter.

Well if the picture to the link is recent (looks like a Pantene Ad), there's nothing to be complaining about. She definitely doesn't look to old. With regard to her weight, I'm sure someone was complaining about her gaining a few Kilos/lbs a few years ago. I guess that's the tough part of being an actress. In my Ichi post above (which i goofed the 1st take), i referenced that she look very good in the premiere. Maybe she has over did it since then.

It's reasonable to think that a cosmetic advert will make as much make up and photoshop as needed to show a model looking healthy and young.

She may have worked too much this last few years but she's still the best looking in yukata. And she's one of the best japanese actress at the moment ( she can play anything from comedy to drama !).

Just watching hotaru no hikari again on DVD before I gear up for the second season.

When i see Ahomiya talking to her self saying "biru, biru, biru"...man don't I want a cold beer. The big companies get their advertising in these dramas even on DVD.
Even in Mr. Brain I felt like eating a few bananas even though I like other fruit better.
