I believe the anime and drama of To Heart are not related. They just share the same name. As far as I know, there isn't a manga source for either of them (although I *think* the anime is based off a computer game...or vice versa...)

Yup, that's right. The anime To Heart and the dorama To Heart have no connection whatsoever. And yes, you're also right that the anime is based off a game.

Some while ago, I heard that the manga series Azumanga Daioh was being made into a drama. Even saw some photos of the actresses doing the character. Haven't heard anything about it since, though...

Hey eu tbm sou do Brasil!!! E aí blz?

Well... let me change the language.

GTO was my first dorama too, and it's simply great.
You can try downloading Your Under Arrest, it's based on manga too, and it's avaible at Sharereactor.com.

You can try renting a tape at the japanese town, you know Liberdade lol, they have some recent TV programations in VHS, but in this case you will need to understand japanese... That's why I prefer downloading, because of the subtitles.

Kindaichi Shonen no Jinkembo, Satorare, Shomuni, O Shigoto Desu, and Sky High were based on manga too I believe. I think Asunaro Hakusho was also based on a manga, but not 100% sure.

What an old thread, but I'll bite.

Koi no Kiseki is based off a manga. I wish I could find that drama series because the manga is really screwed up.

Hotaru no Hikari is another one that was originally a manga.

Most shows these days are based on anime or manga....that's been the case for years already.

Here are some drama that are based on manga/anime

Hachimitsu to Kuroba (Honey and Clover)
*currently airing

Ikebukuro West Gate Park (IWGP)
*This one is one of my fav, also Kubozuka Yosuke who played as Kikuchi Yoshito from GTO is in this one. Same with Waki Tomohiro who played as Kuma in both Gokusen 1 and 2.

Bambino!
*I really enjoyed this one with Matsujun and Kitamura Kazuki (he is so handsome for his age!)

Dr. Koto Shinryoujo and Dr. Koto Shinryoujo 2006
* I've saw the first one, and it was really good! Shibasaki Kou is really good in this.

Battle Royale
*you must watch this.. that all I can say

Jugoku Shojo

well, that all I can think of that isn't mention above.

What do you think of the acting in JDoramas that are based on manga and anime? I find that the actors are somewhat unnaturally stiff, especially the ones in their 20s. In anime characters don't move much, they can be as still as a statue, which is acceptable in that media format, but it just looks weird when real people act like this.

I also find that some people who read a lot of manga or watch a lot of anime act like this in real life.

That thread is somewhat similar but I'm talking about the acting aspect of these dramas, and that's not what that thread is about.

Well you're talking about the acting in a JDrama that's based on a manga/anime and this thread does encompass that discussion.
