^^ Thanks for both of your suggestions. I was surprised by Microsoft, they got back to me fairly quickly with an answer, also a new update. When I turned on my computer, there was a new update from them, I installed it, restarted the computer and am now able to download like before. One thing that was mentioned was never to do a system restore, gave a couple of tips where you may not have to do it. They also mentioned the security settings, though I've had the same one for 2 years, don't think it all of a sudden it would cause a problem, no doubt the problem was on their end, which is why they sent a new update, perhaps others had the same issue and they were prepared for others like me.
Thanks for the responses, normally get some quick and useful tips when I post a problem. _________________

Forget the above post, worked twice and that was it. Reset the Internet settings, worked once then and that was it, sent Microsoft another note, did all their suggestions and I'm still at square one. Only think that has been installed in the last 2 weeks was Adobe Flash Player 10, need that though(?) to watch any YT, etc videos, but I've always used Adobe. Had this computer for 23 months, no problems ever like this until 10 or so days ago, at my wits end, am not a happy camper right now. _________________

Have you run your antivirus lately? What version of Internet Explorer are you running?

^^ Thanks for the responses, using Firefox, have run so many virus scans, etc may have the cleanest computer around. The Microsoft agent got back to me, this was part of his response:
You are seeing the effects of a hijackware infection. Given the questionable anti-virus history, I wouldn't waste time trying to detect & remove the infections.

Back-up any personal data (none of which should be considered 100% trustworthy at this point) then format the HDD & do a clean install of Windows. Please note that a Repair Install (AKA in-place upgrade) will NOT fix this!
HOW TO do a clean install of Vista: See the "If you want to reinstall Windows Vista by performing a clean installation..." section of http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-Vista.
Would rather not have to do it, what a chore it sounds like. Except for the downloading files problem, my computer has really worked better than ever as of late, even better than when I first got it. Used to have such a problem with it freezing up, not closing programs, running slow, etc. Bought a program called TuneUp Utilities about 5 weeks ago, really helped recommending bad programs, unused ones, starting up, shutting down, etc. Guess I'll wait a few days just to see if there's any other tips that come thru before I do any of the suggestions, just seems strange that one thing all of a sudden stopped working while everything else on the computer is running perfectly. _________________
I didn't realize you could do that with onboard GPUs. I'm out of the loop on this, but I should probably check my motherboard to see if I can eke out a few more frames per second. I suppose if you have adequate cooling on the GPU then it shouldn't be a problem.

I think it only works with recent onboard GPUs, like the one on my mobo.
Not sure if my GPU has a heatsink on it, but I could get one rather easily, since I'm in the biz.
Turns out today's computer crash and burn was due to the new memory module that I just received and installed: defective part.
I uninstalled it and now my PC's just fine.... Whew.
Yokattaaa...
I don't know how you organize your Juri-chan files but my take is that everytime you fix your computer you're practically saving the world!

question regarding an issue I am having trying to convert a downloaded file off Youtube, using the latest programs of Youtube Downloader, and Videora iTouch Converter 6.0
The issue that I have and I'd appreciate any feedback if any, but anyhow,
I am having issues trying to convert any music video file to synch it to my iTouch, 2nd generation. I downloaded the freeware prg's Youtube downloader prg, and Videora iTouch converter, 6.0
And I am able to use and download music video files to my desktop using the latest version of Youtube downloader program, BUT when i try to use the latest program 6.0 Videora iTouch converter, i get an error msg when trying to convert any file, it simply does not work. I tried uninstalling it, and reinstalling it, but it gives the same result, any suggestions...
I am trying to convert any viable program, such as .FLV, .MP4 format file, which has worked just file prior to the 6.0 version, anyone else have issues on Videora converter for iTouch. I do have the 2nd generation of iTouch, so I am not sure if that would be an issue to my problem converting files.
Thanks.

Free Microsoft Mathematics
Microsoft used to sell a program called Mathematics, which was aimed at students. It was a very capable product, able to solve equations, draw graphs, do calculus, and much more. Ideal for anyone involved with mathematics, science, engineering, physics, and so on. So why do I say "used to sell"? Have they stopped producing it? No. They've merely stopped selling it, and are now giving it away! There's even a brand new version, 4,0, which was launched only last week.
It runs on all versions of Windows from XP onwards, and is available in both 32- and 64-bit flavours. The installer itself is an 18 MB download, although you'll also need .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, which is another 53 MB if you don't already have it. If you're a student, or you need to do mathematical calculations in your work, then check out Microsoft Mathematics. And if you use Word or OneNote a lot, there's even a version which works as an add-on in those programs too. You can get it from

Has anyone else had problems with PhotoBucket today? The main pages and albums are not set up like they normally are, cannot even upload anything. Restarted my computer which did not help, think it's their problem though not 100% of that. _________________
^ Yeah, the site appears to be hosed... They effed it up after their recent GUI change.... People (including me) have been griping about it on their forum/blog for months.

Never seen it like this before, hopefully they're working on it. That change they did was iffy, some good things happened but other changes were not as good. _________________
