i just read the box score, yeah amazing that Pierce went stone cold and only 1 freethrow, and the Celts still beat the Heat, just shows you how deep of a team they are, and how discplined they are compared to the high horses of Miami big three are, with no other real contributions from the others on that team.

Lakers and Magic, a tough road game for them, but I'd be surprised if they can pull it off again, and make it 5 in a row. I think this one will be a loss for them, but I still think they are playing better this week after those two victories at NY and Boston.

as I guess right, they fell to the Magic, 75-89...any second thoughts on trading Bynum or are we going to hold our cards out this season and skip the hype and trade for Melo, besides I think that trade rumor is just going to stay as that, a rumor.
Lakers still can re-gather and play tough in the next game and bounce back, or continue their with another loss.

Nice win for the Celts over the Heat. But they have been struggling on the offensive end for a few games now. I wish the Celtics players would forgo the all star game. I would rather have them rest, they need it.

The Lakers lose to the Bobcats again, 109-89. Charlotte seems to be the Lakers kryptonite. They've won 8 out of the last 10 against the Lakers. Meanwhile Kobe was playing sick and had another subpar performance. No one from the supporting cast really helped out either.

well as i said, if they had lost, they don't deserve getting into the playoffs, and at this rate, I would be surprised if they can hit 55-58 win mark, but even if they do get in, maybe an early round exit, unless they are saving their energy, like what the celtics did last year, and hopefully waltz in to the later rounds and rematch to the finals, this i really doubt.

It's going to be a very tough three-peat, since they're looking like they won't have home-court advantage at all during the playoffs. Sweat

I am not sure if the Spurs will win it all this year, despite their best record, but they certainly have a better chance at home court advantage during the playoffs, and have proven they have no problem beating up on the Lakers during the regular season. I think Celtics have the best shot at winning it all, and will probably excel to the playoffs, even ahead of flashy Miami heat and their power trio. I'm not sure how consistent Orlando is to even get to the finals, and same with Dallas, but the Lakers should do not look like they can even make it pass the first round of the playoffs, as bad as they have been. It does look like Phil Jackson will not get his 3rd-3peat with this squad, UNLESS they some how improve in every category and really step up in their some tough defense, and improve their overall offense. The intensity and competitiveness of the Lakers is not there and hasn't been for much of this season.

Lakers better flip that switch after the All-Star break or they'll get an early vacation after the regular season is over... And there'll be a lot of finger pointing. Sweat

Most definitely, and maybe they just don't care enough to go for a 3rd, the competitive fire doesn't seem like it is there this year.
It does seem like Kobe is reverting back to his old ways of trying to take it in his own power to propel the team to victories, when all seems lost and no one is stepping up. But Kobe is not the same player as 5 years ago, still one of the greats, but older, slower, so he has to pick his spots more. Usually when he tries to take over forcefully, the Lakers have lost more often. I see a lack of effort with the "other" players, outside of Kobe, Gasol, and Odom, the others are sub-par in their performances a lot of times. I really think maybe they need a trade, but it doesn't look like they'll do anything before the trade deadline.

Stephen Curry of the Warriors wins the NBA Allstar Skill challenge, James Jones of Miami takes the 3pt contest, and Blake Griffin wins the hyped up slam dunk award.

I'd like to see some sort of FT shooting contest in the skills competition, how many in a row or how many out of 200, etc. Then again I'm old fashioned, not like hitting FTs will help you win any games like dunking can. bleh

If they took them and it was a contest to see how many in a row they could hit, contest would be over in less than 5 minutes, including the intros, rofl maybe it would last for 7 minutes if they made the FT line 5 feet away. Naughty
