My first intro to JDorama was Forbidden Love (Majo No Jouken) with Matsushima Nanako. Big Grin Happened to catch it by accident couple of years ago. There wasn't anything better on TV and I was channel surfing when the opening credits came on. Nanako caught my eye and I was hooked. Lovey Eyes Knew I just had to watch. Haven't stopped watching JDoramas since. Mr Green

Yup, sounds right. Wasn't into JDoramas at the time but I remember Asahi Homecast (or was it KSCI?) had a couple of trailers on Forbidden Love so it caught my eye.

I think the first dorama I really got hooked on was "Hotel." It was so dorky and repetitive but I love it! Too bad they stopped making sequels to it. Sad

I think you mean Love Revolution (co-starring Makiko Esumi & Naohito Fujiki). Love Generation is the one with Kimura-kun & Matsu.

hello! i'm new to this site...feeling very lost as everyone seems to know everything & i dun?

anyway the 1st j drama dat got me hooked was beach boys cause dat's one of the 1st few j dramas in s'pore dat was given much publicity...many other j dramas were also shown before beach boys but channel 8 did not spent much effort in promoting them to the audience, so i miss alot of good shows like, under the same roof 1, tokyo love story, heaven's coin 1, etc. Shake Head

however my all-time favourite is Long Vacation. cause i like the way both minami & senna underdstands each other. i didn't know that kimura is so³ popular in japan when i was watching the drama, but through the show i realise that i forgot he's only an actor & really felt for his character in the show. i like his other performances too...he's really³ talented... Applaud

however i guess j dramas usually doesn't has a good sense of reality, in most j dramas dat i've caught (although i must admit it's not alot) other factors such as family & friends ( by this i mean close friends whom u'll miss) are not mention or ignored. which explains why the characters could do things which are themed as brave as they dun have such burdens to consider... Rolling eyes

ok...just my two pennies worth of thoughts...hope i dun offend anybody or sounds like a novice...cause i really am...eh? Sweat
