Yatta! You'll love the big screen! Just make sure you have a desk deep enough because it's overwhelming to the eyes.

My 15" macbook pro just came in, too! I was in the process of migrating my desktop stuff to laptop, but I think I regret it now. Too many files!

I made some changes to my system as well!! But not quite as extensive as you two, I got a new mousepad

In greater Tokyo area, I think about two weeks ago everything had somewhat gone back to normal. Haven't experienced a black out. The big screens in Shibuya are back on. Although people still conserve energy. The trains don't run the interior lighting during the day. I did notice when the cherry blossoms were in bloom, some companies practiced "jishuku". That didn't bother the younger 20 somethings when I visited Ueno koen. Fukushima nuclear power plant is still a concern and I'm not sure what the Japanese government is planning to do with all those displaced families. It's really sad because they have to literally start all over and a lot of them are running out of money.

Stopped at a light today and I looked over at the lady driving the car next to me, her head was kind of bent over and it looked like she was talking into her chest. I looked at little closer and realized she WAS talking into her chest! She had kind of a low cut t-shirt on and was using her cleavage to hold her cellphone! Anything to avoid paying that fine. "But officer, I wasn't holding it in my hand!!" Of course, some women are more capable of doing this than others.

So, I'm at the grocery store looking at the ice cream (Ben & Jerry's on sale, 2 for $7.00!) there's this kid standing next to me probably about 10 or 11 years old. Over in the next aisle we hear some guy on his cellphone, "Dumb sonofabitch, you called me up to tell me that shit!" And the kid looks at me and says, "I'm glad that's not my Dad."
