Celts take care of business today. The Knicks were a joke, it's unbelievable that the first two games were close. Not much confidence in this Celtics team that has these offensive droughts. Sweat Bench has to show up for the next series.

^^ True about the bench, Davis did well today but that was his only good game. bleh Good that the Heat have to play another game, gonna help the starters having a few extra days of rest Applaud ...perhaps those first 2 games were some sort of wakeup call, they outplayed the overrated Knicks badly in both games at MSG, games weren't as close as the final scores.

What they need to do is have a cheeseburger shaped basketball, be hard to get him off the court then. Doh!

I get the feeling that if the Celts make the Finals he'll be there.
He just wants to make his entrance. Beaten

Lakers forget how to rebound and let Chris Paul go crazy again, so they lose, 93-88.

An unbelievably frustrating game to watch. bleh

The problem came at the end of the first half. The Lakers were up 45-37 and forgot how to finish the half, and NO scored the last 12 points to take a halftime lead. As for Chris Paul, he's the type of player that can win games single handily, and he's a bad match-up for the Lakers because of their weakness at the point. But I don't think he can win the series by himself.

As for New York-Boston, I hope D'Antoni learned his lesson from Boston that he can't win in the playoffs without defense. Probably not since his Phoenix teams always ended up getting knocked out by the Spurs teams that were more or less the same as this Boston team.

Yeah, that gave the Hornets a lot of momentum going into the half... And the Lakers didn't seem to make any adjustments. Sad

^^ They should still be OK, all they had to do was win one in NO to regain home court advantage and they did that, Chris Paul is very, very good but also quite inconsistent, next game he could easily go 2-14, bleh he had many games like that this year. Meanwhile the Thunder try to match the Celts in having a first round sweep as they play in Denver tonight and the Grizzlies will try to take a big 3-1 lead over the Spurs tonight in Memphis, even if they do it's just hard to imagine a team like that knocking them out of the playoffs but there always seems to be one big upset a year, perhaps this is it. Sweat

I would've rather seen the Heat in that unenviable position.

^^ We all would have. Shameful Cry
Grizzlies though move one step closer to ousting the #1 seed in the West by demolishing the Spurs 104-86, outscoring them by 20 in the second half, it's been a long run for the Spurs over the years, is this the end? Sweat
Mavs take care of business tonight too at home winning 93-82 to take a 3-2 lead in the series, now on to Portland where the question will be how many bodyguards will Marky bring? Naughty

Wow, really surprised by the Spurs-Grizzlies series... Shocked

After such a great regular season, did the Spurs finally run out of gas, or are they having similar match up problems like the Lakers are having? Sweat

The Grizzlies are making the "experts" look dumb haha.

It's time for the Spurs to rebuild. They were clearly outmatched by the Grizz.

Grizzlies still need to win one more, not gonna be easy against a veteran team like the Spurs but the way they've been playing it's not looking good. Shake Head Could be good news if you're a Lakers fan, think they'd rather face them than the Mavs in the second round. Sweat

Not sure about that.

And the Lakers still have to get by the Hornets. Sweat

Actually, the Lakers would play the Spurs/Grizzlies in the conference finals. As for Dallas/Portland, I'd much rather have the Lakers play Dallas. The Lakers struggle playing in Portland, and one home loss against Portland could mean an upset. Dallas is also aging, and a better match-up overall for the Lakers.

If the Spurs lose and Lakers win, wouldn't they they play the Grizzlies, #2 vs. #8, then if the Mavs hang on it would be them at #3 against OC at #4? Nut

Nope.

Lakers would play the winner of the Portland-Dallas series.

All the other sports reseed after every round, wonder why they don't? Nut Now the Thunder should have an easier path to the finals if the Grizzlies hang on, easier than the Lakers of Mavs. Sweat
