That guy eats the best food the world has to offer, with some occassional weird sh*t every now and again.

And he drinks copious amounts of alcohol. All the while he gets paid to do it. Nice gig.

My most favourite drink was always champagne brut. Still would be if I could open the bottle without breaking thumb. Howeveer, restricted to one glass of red a day so that's something.

there should be a place somewhere in LA where you could get Newcastle Brown Ale. Probably not on tap but at least in a bottle. That is a very dark and heady beer and I only tried it once. Too strong for me. Takes a man I guess.

Try it...you might like it.

Sounds similar to Guinness... A coworker here loves it.

Newcastle Ale is not really like Guinness. I can drink Guinness. Had a small 'Baby Guinness' with a cheese sandwich every day for lunch and it got me through a war very nicely. The brown Ale would have put me to sleep. Need to hear the air raid sirens.......

has anyone tried Hitachino White Ale?

My niece had this beer in NYC recently... She really liked it.

To be specific, she had the Red Rice Ale and the Ginger Ale.

Worth a try... I'm intrigued by the Red Rice Ale, since the description mentioned it was sake-like. Victory! Peace!

BTW, is there anywhere to buy it here in L.A.?
