Its a downer when u had to stop watching a series half way coz of subs...
I hope it gets subbed soon.
yeah, google translate doesnt work well
On another note, I cant help but think that Masami Nagasawas' character in Gold is a much better fit for Ayase Haruka. I'm a fan of both - jsut that I'm more accustomed to seeing Ayase doing these type of roles.
I think both girls are about as good in acting, i have no preference really.
not sure what J-dramas are currently out, since now it seems like the middle of the j-drama season...
any suggestions or recommendations?
not watching anything current at the moment, i got done a few korean dramas, long series that was on television,
"Smile Mom", 50 episodes, 2 per week, about just over 6 months long.

Smile Mom? Havent seen that one - I thought that was the same as "Smile You" which I finished some weeks ago.
I dont have much to recommend for jdoramas though - as I've just started watching recently after a long break. Misaki #1 is a light, easy to watch series and Gold is nice except subs arent all released yet.
But for old ones, "Omiai Kekkon" is good - finally found it last night so I'm rewatching that with "Love Generation" next. _________________

It is a downer, it's nice that others sub them for us but don't know why they quit halfway thru or don't have someone else take it over. Been waiting for months for ProGolfer Hana to be finished, first 6 episodes of the 12 were subbed then the person stopped, lot of us have been waiting, doesn't look like it's going to be finished. _________________

Can't go wrong with those. I'm doing oldies tonight too. Saw the first few eps of Shinsengumi! Seems exciting. Now doing Yellow Card a 93' family drama. Looks like it is going to be very good. _________________

Yup, I'm trying to rewatch most of Santamarias' and Takakos' series.
I've seen shinsengumi I think but never heard of Yellow Card - is that a soccer drama? _________________

Love Generation, I really enjoyed that one, Kimataku is a good as an actor as I've seen, a cool demeanor and talented. Another old j-drama even way back was 101st proposals (101 Kaime no Puropozu)
http://jdorama.com/drama.2.htm
although i only watch some of it, It did seem like a very good j-drama from the early 1990's. One of the characters that was in that drama is now in a current jdrama from last season, "School" who played a principal, actor- Yosuke Eguchi.

It's about a deadbeat Dad who returns after three years and his reintegration into the rather unwilling family. He was very sports oriented so you might be correct. I've just started so I haven't seen that yet.
The actors are all really solid.
as for Shinsengumi, I'm a bit spoiled after Aoi Tokugawa and Toshiie to Matsumoto. but it's fun. _________________

Started watching Jin - on first episode atm.
Having played Shogun 2: Total War game, I actually understood when they refer to "nanban" and the "black ship",
Just goes to show that sometimes, PC games help out with world history,
As for the series, it seems interesting and I'm really keeping my hopes up that it will be enjoyable till the end. _________________

Tonight Asuko March episode 6 or so I believ, not too thrilled - all is a bit lacklustre this season. I don't like anything except perhaps Marumo no Okite
Asuko, about a girl in a technical highschool could be refreshingly funny or a social portrait but it's just childish stuff.

Just finished Asuko March. I can't seem to get past the second episode of Control so I will stop trying and officially drop it. Waiting for Zenkai Girl and Hana Kimi S2 - no Maki-chan in S2 I can't wait to see it. _________________

Finished up Boss 2, not nearly as good as the first season. Last 2 episodes had the real potential to be as good as season one's finale though fell flat, Sorimachi may have helped. _________________

Finished both BOSS 2 and Shima Shima.
BOSS was good but the last episode went too fast I think. Maybe it's because I didn't want it to end xD And Shima Shima was just so-so. Nothing special about it. Though Yada and Miura were good.
A quick admission of bias... I'm watching this show because Michiko is my favorite Femme Fatale.
My review: Michiko even looks great in sneakers, baggy pants, T-shirts, and minimal make-up.
As to the stories in the show... they all seem to focus on the problems of her 4th graders. I don't really care about the problems of 4th graders. But I haven't been fast forwarding through the scenes Michiko isn't in... so I suppose you could say they're doing a good job. _________________
