Up thru epi 5 of Soredemo, Ikite. It looks like a lot of stuff is going to go down in episode 6 so I think I'll take a break.

Really like the first 4 episodes of Merry Christmas in Summer, but the plot twist in episode 5 looks like ruining this drama. Nakatani Miki stole the show in this one, even though I find her character not very credible/believeable, this would be much poorer without her.

Almost halfway through Mukodono!, I had huge expectations for this dorama (having Takeuchi Yuko and Nagase Tomoya as leads...plus Shinohara Ryoko among the supporting actors!) but so far imho is quite disappointing...I don't find it well written at all, dialogues are even boring at times and the plots are, again imho, way too plain/obvious/cheesy...if it doesn't get any better I think I'm gonna give it a mere 6/10...Beaten

Mukodono with Sakai Noriko is better, IMO.

Speaking of which, episode 8 of Don Quixote. A funny take on the old "chasing the bus as it leaves the station" cliche. hehe

Gets even better in the second half of the show, though Miki was solid thought it was Ai Kato who stole the show, at least so much more in the second half. Sweat

Speaking of which Part II: Episode 10 of Bull Doctor. Gotta love it when the writers bring in a brand new character and throw in a couple flashback scenes in the second to last episode to try and fix the mess they've already created. Shake Head

Tempest episode one - it's horrible! Anyone seen more episodes? Does it get any better? And I mean al lot better!

On the plus side Yuusha Yoshihiko to Maou no Shiro, Arakawa under the bridge, Soredemo and Don Quixote are good!

Finished watching Mukodono!, I liked the ending but not the rest, so I confirm my opinion, it was disappointing in general and much below my expectations. The leads have played better roles than these and the supporting cast had mixed performance imho: some of them (Utsui Ken and Danta Yasunori most of all) were good, others (particularly Akiyoshi Kumiko! Bang Head ) were really annoying...

It's more like a 5.5/10, but not being able to cast that vote I'll give it a 6/10.

p.s.
Started watching Change and Kaiki Daikazoku, so far I'm finding the first one as good as I expected (Fukacchan! Abe Hiroshi! Kimutaku playing a nerd! Mr Green ) and the second one surprisingly funny! Victory! Peace!

The comments on d-addicts seem to be all positive but I dropped it after a few minutes into the first episode. Didn't really like the opening and for some reason the costume was the deal breaker for me. Not that there was anything wrong with them.

Watched Manatsu no Merry Christmas until the final episode last weekend but haven't got around to the last one for the last few days. Better than I expected after that cliche plot development in the middle of the series, but probably only good to pass the time.

I was thinking about giving Mukodono! another go because of Takeuchi Yuko. Sounds like I wasn't missing much. Thanks for saving me the time and disappointment, pash.

1/2 way thru Boku no Imoto, had no idea what it was about going in but it's surpassed any expectations, so far it's been real solid, not sure what genre it is, crime or mystery or whatever but it's been a really good watch. Dancing

I just finished Nagareboshi. It was a good drama overall. The cast - especially Takenouchi Yutaka - did a great job. Just once though, I'd like to see Goro in something that gives you a warm feeling for his character! What was with Ueta Aya's wardrobe throughout the drama?? All in all, I enjoyed this drama!

I'm finishing Scent of a Woman (K) and when this tear-jerker's over, I'll start another Takenouchi drama: Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru.
