Finished Bull Doctor which replaces Fuyu no Sakura as worst drama of 2011.

While waiting on subs for Don Quixote and Soredemo, , , started Yuusha Yoshihiko, , , kind of a goofy Japanese version of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. hehe

Can't believe they actually tried to rehabilitate douchebag Goro... sorry, Nakura. Ugh. What a bleh ending.

Currently watching Zettai Reido 2, Keishichou Sosa Ikka 9 Gakari 6, Kyoto Chiken No Onna 7, & Yuusha Yoshihiko (which is freakin' hilarious). Will be giving Jiu: Keishichou Tokushuhan Sosakei a try after I finish this current batch. I was going to try Bull Doctor too, but after seeing gaijinmark's previous post, I think I might pass. =T

^ EstherM said that Tempest is pretty bad. That's the thing about Yankumie's dramas. They're either pretty good (the Trick series, the first Gokusen, Arifureta Kiseki) or they're rendering-plant-next-to-the-skunk-farm stinkeroos (All the Gokusen sequels, Joshi Deka, Untouchable).

I may give Tempest a look after I finish Don Quixote and Soredemo, , ,. What the hey, OMG

Since I dropped Zenkai Girl, I decided to start a new show, IS .
The acting wasn't good, but the topic seems interesting. It's definitely different from other shows.

Finished up Boku no Imoto which was a surprisingly good watch, not knowing the plot at all sometimes helps, lot more intense and darker than I thought it would be except for a fluffy last episode, Odagiri is just so good in everything plus Masami probably won many awards for her finr performance. Victory! Peace! Not sure what's next but as soon as all the subs for Soredemo Ikite are done gonna watch that, been looking forward to it. Fingers crossed

Tell me what you thought because reviews at d-addicts were good.
Thanks xploring for posting the link! I had also problems with the costumes and the make-up, you can see clearly the plastic line of Tanihara Shosuke's wig in his first scence - a pot of flesh-colored make-up doesn't cost the world Mr Green

OT: finished episode 7 of Soredemo Ikute - intense, will need a break before episode 8.

The only problem is once I start a drama I usually have to finish it. There's only a couple dramas that were so bad I couldn't finish them so I hope I don't get stuck with this one. Sweat
The thing is, they were both real popular dramas, "Tiger and Dragon" and "Nodame Cantibile". Couldn't finish either one.

OT: Don Quixote episode 9. Not much happened with this episode, didn't really move things along, just treading water, but Matsuda is making it fun.

Okay then my advise is: watch Tempest only if you really nothing better to do including ironing towels and cleaning sewages. Mr Green

Watching an episode of Zettei Reido 2 - and in the absence of any real dates in my life (too busy but seemingly not busy enough to stop watching dramas Beaten) falling in love with Kiritani Kenta as the wonder cop whom I suspect to be:

Started Slow Dance - eye candy is good. Love Fujiki Naohito, Fukatsu Eri and Tsumabuki Satoshi.

Hirosue Ryoko is so blah though.

They should have butchered him and place him on autopsy table. A SMAP's torso would probably raise the ratings.

This is the worst casting i have seen. Esumi Makiko is like the sichuan peppercorn that overwhelms the other ingredients. And just as we get bored with spiciness, they add Goro's tears like you would add the tomato ketchup to a dish to make it sweet and spicy.

Don Quixote is still my favourite this summer.

The child actors did a fabulous job in Zekai Girl too. No surprises, not much humour.....i think i will rewatch Hotaru instead. I will leave the serious dramas like IS and Hanawake on the shelf until winter.

Tempest is too much of special effects and I cannot say it is bad because I could only tolerate two episodes.

So, since I'm waiting on subs for everything else I thought, "Okay, I'll check out the first episode. How bad can it be?"

Turns out you were right, this thing is awful!! bleh I mean, it's laugh-out-loud-you've-got-to-be-kidding bad!! Looks like "Bull Doctor" had a short run as worst drama of 2011. I was thinking, "Good thing this isn't a taiga. I've already had to put up with one bad taiga this year, two would be more than I could take!"

I'm kind of torn. On the one hand I wish Ender's Girl would watch this because I'm sure her review would have us in stitches. But on the other hand, why should she suffer through this dreck.

I'm going to watch episode 2, not because I care what happens next, I'm just curious to see if it can get any worse.

As it turns out, I watched episode 2 and 3. EstherM wanted to know if it gets better. Well, "better" is a relative term. The 2nd and 3rd episodes didn't have any laugh out loud bad scenes. I guess "tolerable" would be a better term. Some of the skullduggery going on in the inner court was kind of interesting. But that ground is covered better in the drama Ooku (http://www.jdorama.com/drama.772.htm) from a few years back.

It doesn't help when one of the main points of the drama is Yukie trying to pass herself off as a man and in every episode another person finds out she's a woman. Kind of defeats the purpose, ne.

And Gackt, who I thought did a good job in Fuurin Kazan is one of the most disgusting, repulsive characters I've seen in awhile! bleh

So, will I keep watching? Dunno, got an awful lot of towels to iron.

Started watching the Detective Conan series. So far saw the first special from 2006 with Oguri Shun, and thought it was ok. It was a little disappointing that it felt like it had no beginning.

Episode 2 of Control, okay but not an interesting case they solved, hope it gets a bit more intriguing, also up to episode 5 of Boukenger, likin' this one a lot more. Nut
