I personally hate quitting dramas. I don't think I can give a drama a fair chance if I don't watch it all the way through. If it's a really long series, like American TV series, a tokusatsu, or a period drama then it's different. The only reason I drop a drama is if school gets in the way, and even then I try to get back to the drama whenever I can.

Episode 9 of Soredemo, , ,. This waiting a month for subs is killing me but it's worth it!!

Once it gets completely subbed I'll probably go back and watch it again.

I'm waiting for it to be completely subbed before I start. Seems another subber might take it on?

Anyway, have a question. Do I need to watch the first Pandora drama before starting the second or third?

I don't think so. All three were written by the same person, but they all have completely different casts. I only watched the first one and it was great! Applaud

I just checked out episode 1 of Pandora 2. The premise is basically the same, but in the first Pandora they were working on a cure for cancer, in the second Pandora it has to do with genetically getting food to grow faster to solve world hunger. So if you watch Pandora 2 first it'll still make sense.

Watched the first extra-long episode of mega-budget production Nankyoku Tairiku - not my cup of tea (too many corny lines and Kimutaku bleh) but I'll continue for the amazing dogs and the very cool supporting cast.

Inspired by junny started watching Pandora 2:http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1529.htm

Same basic premise as the first Pandora. Idealistic doctor/researcher makes fantastic breakthrough that could change the world. Then big business and/or the government gets wind of it and everything goes bad.

Enough different to make it interesting. The only two holdovers from the first one are Koji Yamamoto as the reporter, he basically acts as narrator. And Kimiko Yo as Prime Minister. In the first Pandora we saw how she became Prime Minister, basically by double crossing everybody that stood in her way. Glad to see her back, doesn't look like she's changed her ways.

And the theme song is still Tony Bennett singing "The Good Life" Applaud

Finished Detective Conan live-action series. Not as good as the special that came out in April, but it was ok. It's predictable at times and I still prefere the cast from the 2006 specials, but the actors did grow on me (except Jinnai Takanori, whom from what I've seen doesn't know how to do anything except overact to the extreme). I do like the two main characters, and some of the cases were good. Overall, I think it's a descent watch, and recommend it to fans of the anime or anyone who's curious, but there are better detective dramas out there.

LOL glad you're enjoying Pandora 2, do let me know how it goes. I was interested in the third one since it has Uchino Masaaki. I'll keep the Pandora series on my to-watch list, it sounds like a well-made series overall.

Started episode 1 of Gaiji Keisatsu, liking it so far. Watabe Atsuro is pretty good as the cynical and no-nonsense Sumimoto Kenji, head of an anti-terrorism unit. Am liking the tone and music, and with only 6 episodes, should be a good watch.

JIN 2, Episode 2, on broadcast TV.

Less crying in this episode and more suspense. Victory! Peace!

I figure that even if I watch only six eps it was good enough to hold me for that long that's good but I don't have completion issues. Wink

Also just started watching Otomen which is quite catchy and one of the more fun manga turned dramas that I've seen. The kendo scenes are cool too. Victory! Peace!

Just started on My Boss My Hero and holy cow that first episode was awesome. Nagase Tomoya was quite funny with his facial expressions. I got high hopes for this drama.

Not meant to be hot anyway.

It's gonna make me cry buckets when the men betrayed the dogs.

....will stick on because it has a cool supporting cast, esp the ones playing Taro and Jiro, and the Alpha male, of course.

Finished it up. Pretty good. I like the first Pandora better. It did have a better cast, Yanagiba, Ono Takehiko, Mikami Hiroshi.

Pandora 2 was a variation on the old "Man should not try to play God" theme.

Glad you're enjoying it, almost everyone panned it here but I really enjoyed it too, Victory! Peace! it really is one of those inane, over the top dramas that is so funny, sort of a guilty pleasure of mine. Sweat

Otomen is rather delightful in a funny outlandish way. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I might. There are some surreal moments. Victory! Peace!

OT: After the praise here, I will start the first episode of Dosokai!

Well, I've been taught to always finish my meal but sometime it's just not possible.
