Yeah, the actual flight is only 45 minutes. Beats driving through the desert for 4.5 hours.

Again, the only caveat I'll make is the hassle at the airport when checking in which can be quite a friekin' drag.

True story...when I went to Osaka back in '09 I did so on United by way of a connection from LAX to San Francisco Int'l then on to Kansai Int'l direct.

I arrived at the crack of dawn between 5:30 & 6am to check in at LAX...took me 2.5 hours to wind through security...barely made my flight to S.F....all that for a 1 hour 15 minute flight. Despite arriving extra early I still barely made it because security checkpoint line was excruciatingly slow! It was an awful experience.
